    So, last we left off:
    https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103067

    Fast-forward to today...
Looked at the job boards...NOW it makes sense, and I understand...
The lady who got that job that I thought I was a "shoe-in" for, ALREADY WORKED for the company, she just got promoted (basically).
I TOTALLY understand that (and I'd want the same thing if I was in her shoes!)
So NOW, HER (old) job is open, which literally pays $1 an hour LESS (with much less responsibilities).
So OF COURSE I applied for it just now...
Makes sense, promote her and give me HER (old) job...works for me! (IF it happens that way)

However, ANOTHER position opened up within the same company (albeit a different office-branch). But the thing about THIS job is, I met the director last year; when my wife started working for that company, and he had a job opening at the time (That I'm SURE he wanted me to apply for, but I didn't apply for it because I was drawing UIB for $1800 a month and that's about what the job paid)
So NOW, another position is open in his office that pays $23 an hour...DAMN RIGHT I applied for it! (and I had my wife email him, lol)

SOOOO...hopefully this has been the master plan all along...Easier work, for $1 an hour less...hell yes!

PS- The only shitty part about it all is; if I have to RE-interview with the same people as the FIRST JOB (System's Specialist) I'll have to go buy ANOTHER set of nice clothes! LOL (cuz I don't want them thinking I only have two sets...even though I do, lol)

Good luck, i would keep the same tie and just change the shirt. Most people have way more shirts than pants because pants can be a lot more universal.

No way. The same tie is way more noticeable than the same shirt, especially since the shirt is presumably solid white or light blue. Definitely change the tie at least.

Also, I know IT stuff can be casual but if you're going to wear a tie you should also wear a suit. Not just a shirt and tie.

Chirping about being properly attired is pretty silly given your current status, no? Step it up and your look and demeanor will speak for you before you even open your mouth.
