What is it?? RRL is the latest creation from Spiegelworld's latest creation Vegas Nocturne. Or is it the other way around? Does that name ring a bell? It should! Spiegelworld created Absinthe and shook up the LV strip just a couple years or so ago. Remember, what is that tent doing in front of Caesars?

RRL/Vegas Nocturne is the latest creation to entertain, but on a whole new level. You can begin your night at RRL with dinner. The food is nearly as inventive and creative as the show. You have to try the drinks, they are also unique to the venue. We opted to try "NEW MOON" a vodka based citrus tasting drink. It was perfect, not to sweet and not to sour. We purchased the flask for $45. The flask held about the equivalent of about 4 glasses. You also get to keep the flask with the RRL symbol on it as a souvenir. We enjoyed ours in the "music room" where live music plays on stage. The music as the drink was just right, not to loud, not to hard, just right for the venue.



We then traveled into the venue just before 8pm to watch the first "canto" as the shows are called. There are three, and 8pm, a 10pm and 12am. The first two lasted between 90 and 100 minutes and the last show about 20 or 30. Its hard to tell when something ends or starts as the entertainment is steady throughout the entire venue. When the performers are not on stage they are entertaining the restaurant goers or hanging in one of the various rooms.

The venue got more packed and the acts got faster paced and racier as the night went on. Humor, sexiness, athletic feats, comedy, freak acts, its all there. The musical portions are nothing short of amazing. You cannot put this show in a box, its just way too vast to name it with one or two words.



I won't give away what the individual acts are. I will say this if you like the theme of Absinthe you will love RRL. If Absinthe is viewed as where the Spiegelworld freaks come out to play, then RRL should be viewed as where they live. This is their element, their house, there rules, which means there are none. The RRL theme is present throughout the venue. It is seen on the silverware, the glass flasks, in the restroom and throughout the entire production. A very large check book was obviously opened, there was no expense spared. I was told there 16 different countries represented throughout the night. Spiegelworld looked far and wide for talent. I can only assume if you are the best at your act, they are interested.



We opted to spend the entire night, we did all three cantos and then closed the club down at around 230am. The dance club was a portion, imagine a sexy female DJ with a vintage rapper as an MC and you can kind of get a visual. The energy was incredible, the crowd ate it up. My memory is kind of fuzzy at that time, but I recall walking towards the exit and being approached by a man in a suit who stated rather seriously that we had been invited to the "study". The study turned out to be another small bar where the party continued with a small handful of folks for about another hour or so. I believe we left sometime around 330am. I can't be sure though.

We certainly enjoyed all the acts and everything RRL has to offer. I don't want to give away much because that is part of the fun. It is meant to be enjoyed in person and speaking of she show on the internet cannot give it justice. You will like it, there will be something there for you. About any question you can ask the answer would be, YES it has that too. RRL is all things to all people. It is the most unique experience I have ever had on a night out. It made the celebration of my birthday a night I will remember for a lifetime. I won't go into all of what went on, I will add to the secretive legend a bit and let you wonder or see for yourself.

Its supposed to be the ultimate experience in dining and entertainment. Were set to go on our next trip. I can't wait to see for my self.

 

I would have to agree. Like I said I have just about done it all as far as the shows and clubs go and there is nothing like this anywhere. I have never saw anything so thorough and thought out without the appearance of being so.

 

I already purchased the tickets online, its pretty exciting.
How's the price on food and drinks?

 

Thanks for the informative review!! A few questions I've been wondering:
- How did the 8pm, 10pm, midnight shows differ in content/style? Same performers at all 3 doing different tricks?
- Was there any seating for the bar patrons in the music room? I know there are tables for people that are having dinner, but what about people just loitering until the next canto?
- If we don't plan to eat/drink much, can we just loiter and enjoy the entertainment? Or is there an expectation that we will buy food/drink as we watch? (I am planning to go to the 8pm canto, then have dessert afterwards -dying to try the chocolate terrarium - and think about attending the midnight canto since it is included in our tickets. Obviously dessert isn't going to take 2 hours, but I would love to sit back and watch the entertainment without buying much food/drinks.)
- What kind of music did the club play?

They are right with any of the other high end clubs on the strip. The main diff is the constant entertainment you get no matter where you are. I suggest buying the signature flask for $45. It comes either vodka based or dark liquor based. We got about 4 drinks out of it

We saw a lot of the food come by since we were there so early. It all looked really well done too. Its the smaller portions so keep that in mind.

 

I just bought the Living Social Deal and me and the girlfriend are going on Easter Sunday for dinner at 8PM and the 10PM Cantos. Seriously excited! I'm glad you put some pictures up because I was debating wearing jeans and a nice collared shirt and it looks like you can.

We're going to the 10pm show next week, and I was wondering about the dress expectations: would a pair of jeans work here, or is it expected to be something more than that? (Two guys here in their forties who never go to clubs, for reference.) Thanks for any help!

 

You won't want to leave after the 10pm show! Yes, you will be fine with a collared shirt and dark jeans. I had a blazer on but took it off as the night escalated.

 

I wore dark jeans and a nice collared shirt. I also had a blazer on earlier in the night but took it off. I felt dressed just right. Its too much moving around and having fun for a suit. I also woke up with popcorn still stuck to me the next morning! You will see what that is about.

where was the study area?? i tried too look in all the doors when 1st walking in, some were staff use only LOL.

also damn i need to see the 10pm show now after seeing the 8pm one, 10pm is supposed to be more risque. did you have to pay for all 3 shows or just the 1st one? maybe since you bought a bottle of bubbly they hooked you up.

 

How would it be solo?

 

My ability to recall is a bit impaired but I know it was on the way out the main door. As we were walking out they routed us to take a hard right. I believe it was off limits when we were walking around earlier. I am pretty sure It was blocked by staff during the night. We had tickets to all three shows. The 10pm show is faster paced and more risque for sure.

 

If I were going to do solo, which I totally would, showing up a tad later for like the 10pm show and just sticking around would be the thing to do.

 

So it doesn't seem like you ate here but if you went again do you think you would or would you just do the show and the bar?

 

I didn't eat there. If I went again I would after seeing how much there is going on just in the restaurant and seeing the food go by. Everything looked really good and the restaurant experience looked like a lot of fun as well.

We only didn't eat there because we knew we were going to close the joint down and didn't really know what to expect.

We will go back on our June trip and have dinner and watch at least the first two cantos. See how we are feeling as far as staying around for the club.

 

Thank you for posting this, I was looking into it for our anniversary night after reading another review on this by Evoni. So - you don't have to do dinner right? You can just arrive a little early for your show and have a drink or something?

My husband and I aren't club people but we do enjoy Cirque shows...what is the crowd like? We are in our late 30's and we'd rather avoid the young hoochie-type 20-somethings if we can.

Did you pay full price for the shows or did you do the Living Social deal that is out there?

 

You do not have to do dinner. We just showed up around 7 and hung out at the bar in the music room. This is right next to where folks are having dinner. The crowd is all over the place. There were quite a few older folks for the 8pm show. At the 10pm, a large group of 30 somethings sat down behind us.

The midnight show was all over the place, but it is def not a young 20 something crowd. Its a club that doesn't feel clubby if that makes sense. I turned 40 and we def were not out of place. During the club part there was a group at the table next to us celebrating a 30 something birthday. You will fit in just fine!

The guy on the dance floor at the end of the night getting all the attention was a very dapper man in his 50's. The MC even commented on his dancing. A very fun atmosphere for sure!
