How long is the wait time to get into a lunch buffet? Say I want to use myvegas 2/1 lunch buffet and lunch is over at 3:30. Will I be standing in line to get in for an hour? I don't want to waste my LP that I worked so hard to get.
What buffet do you plan on visiting and what day of the week do you plan on using it? Unless we know that, you're not going to get a logical answer.
I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this, so I'll ask: How about Cravings at the Mirage on a Sunday or Monday night, pre-9:00 "Love" show? To the OP, last August my wife and I waited about an hour to get into lunch at Aria on a weekday. However, at that time Aria was giving away buffets left and right with rooms, so maybe that contributed to it.
My wife and I went to the Bellagio buffet last August on a Thursday using the MyVegas 241 lunch reward. We got in line at 3pm and the queue was at the entrance. We joined the line and when 3:15pm came and we weren't near the front I started panicking a little but we managed to get in around 3:25pm as the pace seemed to pick up. It's going to be pretty variable depending on the day from what I saw. They will let the higher Mlife members in the priority line go first - we had to wait while a group of around 12 were in the priority line plus a couple of other families. One funny aside was a man arguing with the lady at the register because it was around 3:20pm and he and his family had just arrived. The queue was massive still and he tried to jump the line by saying that they only wanted to eat the lunch items so shouldn't be expected to queue and miss the cheaper entrance. Yeah, whatever pal!
Thank you for your replies. I have no problem waiting my turn I was just trying to figure out when to get there. That sounded like a Cousin Eddie from Vegas Vacation that just wanted to eat the lunch items. Crazy line jumper.
It will depend on how many people are in line ahead of you. If a bunch of people decide to head to the buffet right before you it could be a long wait.
I would go 35-45 minutes before lunch changeover to be safe and have minimal lines (if you want to stay for dinner). When I was at Bacchanal at Caesar's in the fall (arguably the most popular buffet right now), there was a 10 min wait for weekday lunch at 2:15 (changeover at 3). As it was getting closer to 2:30, the line definitely grew at least double to triple.
Oh, also, Wicked Spoon on a weekend lunch around 11:45am was only 15 minute wait or so. I was surprised.
When we tried Bellagio lunch, we got in line about 2:45, think we got in a little after 3. I definitely would show up sometime before 3, anything after that is pushing it.
We play at Ameristar in KC. My dad has a black card there. The rest of us have red and silver cards. We don't have MLife cards yet. Should we go get those first and does our play here at home factor in to MLife status or do we start over?
