So I've been playing VP for about 10 years, and never had a royal flush. Someone's suggestion on here seemed to help. In the past, I would always pause for a bit when I was dealt 4 to the royal, and take my time hitting the deal button. In this case, I was only dealt 3 to the royal, but I did not pause, and played as usual (was actually dealt 4 to a regular flush, but just held the 3), and it happened

This was at Maryland Live casino in early February.

So I guess I'm finally no longer a virgin :evillaugh

Oddly enough, a few weeks earlier, I had hit the first premium quad on TDB (four 2,3,4 with kicker).

I hope it doesn't take another 10 years to see one of these again

    Woot! Congrats!

But seriously, from now on you have to pause, because I always pause on 3 or 4 to a RF. On trips I do a little drumroll to pull a quad. Works. Sometimes. :wink2:

Well, after spitting my beer all over the patron next to me.....

 just kidding. Thankfully, there were no liquids in the mouth, because I was like :eek: for about 3 seconds, then kinda just shouted "YES!!!" into the air. The bartender had just delivered my soda about a minute earlier, so I thanked him with a $5 tip, because had I not paused to receive the drink at that exact moment, chances are the RNG magic wouldn't have worked to make that royal happen..

SSOOO MANY TIMES I've drawn 4 to the royal, and failed. Amazing that my first royal was drawn from holding only 3 cards! Therefore, I wasn't expecting that, but was incredibly happy when realizing what just happened (as the credits slowly counted up on the meter):faint:

If I kept feeding the vp monster for 10 years, without getting the royal, i'd quit.

Took me 10 years, but I had a clear 4 year hiatus too.

    Nice hit rob!

Wife and I played for years without ever seeing a Royal. I think I first played VP around 2001, but we didn't start playing VP for long sessions until last fall. My first Royal was Jan 3 of this year in Reno. I've had two more since. Wife's first was three weeks ago at the MGM Grand.

Continued good luck and keep them coming.
