It's been a few years since I've stayed at the Fremont, but I remember that the rooms were on the small side, but quite comfortable.

Other posters have commented over the years that quiet rooms do, in fact, exist. I'd simply ask for one with a window facing north, away from the canopy.

I know for a fact that at the Four Queens across the street the difference between the rooms facing the canopy and the ones on the other side of the hall are dramatic, as far as noise goes.

    Good luck.

I always ask for room 1543. Very quiet. A bit of a walk from the elevator but away from fremont street.

The last (ages ago) addition to the Fremont was perpendicular to the old hotel and parallel w/Fremont Street Experience. The rooms on the north side of ths wing imo was quieter. Plus, the rooms are larger rooms than the rooms from the older side. If you get the older side with one king bed, you will note the difference in size

When staying there on comps, they always put me on the 'Casino Center' side, straight up from the lobby elevators...usually 5th or 6th floor.
The view is of the cab-stand & bus stop along side Binion's... Rooms 624 & 543 are ones I specifically remember, and they were certainly quiet enough for me to sleep.

We thank you all for answering my question before I even ask.
I'm staying at the Freemont in July and now I know what to ask
for. 1543 or something close ?? I'd assume that the rooms around
    it a quiet as well.
Thanks again and leftcoast post a trip report or something letting
    us know about the room..
Thanks leftcoast for getting my answer for me..

When we stayed in May of last year we asked for a top floor room to stay away from the noise. One night we returned to our room and found that the AC had quit and when maintenance came we let him know that it hadn't been working particularily well all trip. He stated that if you want to stay cooler to ask for a lower floor as the AC system is old, a little weak, and can't compete with the sun on the hotter days (109F when we were there). Just somethig else to think about considering you will be travelling in July.
We also had issues with the wooden slat blinds not keeping the sun out very well but I like to sleep in.
    Happy travels,

I'll second what Topcard said. The last couple of times I've stayed there, my view was of the side of Binions with the bus stop and cab stand. I wasn't bothered by noise in either room.
