Pre- 40th Birthday TR

As I sit in my middle management mundane cubicle and dream of my upcoming vac. I decided to do a brief pre-trip TR.

Me and semi-long time GF Steffy B will be flying out of CMH Friday eve. We will arrive in LV and cab to the Luxor. We won't be checking in till about 11pm or so. We just plan to eat in the Casino and sit at the Aurora Bar and I will down Fat Tire until I totally wear myself out.

Sat the weather is supposed to suck, so who knows. We do plan in the eve. to hit happy hour at the Stratosphere and have a couple drinks on "top of the world". We will then do our best impression as "hipsters" and hit Fremont East.
IU25 may be in the area and we are going to try to link up.

Sunday our only firm plans are to have dinner at the buffet at PH and then walk across the street to Cosmo where we will attend all three cantos of ROSE.RABBIT.LIE.

I will turn 4-0 at the stroke of midnight!!

My 40th birthday was my first trip. One of the few surprises my wife has ever been able to keep. At least for a while, she told me two days before. She arranged time off with my boss, bought me a few new threads, and booked everything, without me having any idea. We have been back every birthday since. Have fun and happy birthday.

 

Make sure your drivers licence doesn't expire this year. Mine did one time while I was there and it's hell getting on the plane back.

 

Wow, you just sent a chill down my spine!! I checked my wallet and I am good until next year. Mine no longer expires on the birthday since the Highway Patrol shredded it a couple summers ago!! But that is another story!!

 

That sounds AMAZING! You will have a blast Ron. And what a view from the top of the world. I am a fan of PH buffet personally. And I can not wait to hear about RRL.

Have fun, bud!!! We did my 40th in Vegas. Fun group bash. Cocktail reception one night in our suite. Golf. Spa. Great food. I recall someone (not me) having way too many Lemon Drops playing VP one night ...

(50 was in the Big Apple. If this is a trend of moving eastward then 60 will be in Amsterdam or Prague, I guess.)

 

Ha! I go back and forth banning the GF from drinking lemon drops to encouraging it!!!

 

I am too! We got the Groupon for like $46 for two with unlimited drinks!

Can't beat it!!

 

The 6 years will fly by!! I feel like I went from 36 to 40 overnight!!

Last I read no rain Sat just tomm, lets hope maybe the Vegas Gods are looking out for us and keep the rain away! I can do clouds, hell I can do rain, just would rather not!

How long are you in town? Do you think you'll get an extended vacation due to the weather in Ohio? They're talking about a foot!!

 

I told my boss today that we are supposed to make it back Monday, but may not. Just told the ex wife the same so she can keep the kids an extra day if needed.

It doesnt look good, but I would rather be stuck there than stuck here and unable to fly out!!

 

May have our first change in plans already. The weather is looking grim for Friday so we may put off hitting E Fremont. Its just not the same for us when the weather is off.

 

Ugggh hopefully the weather cooperates with yall.... Hell its the worst when it rains... but then again you can stay inside and get hammered and never realize its actually raining
