Here's your mission. Start at the Stratosphere at noon on a Saturday. Go to the craps table and wait for a come out roll. Place a pass line bet and wait until it resolves (point made or seven out). Then take off walking south on Las Vegas Blvd. hitting every casino and making the same craps bet until you finish at the Mandalay Bay. Then cross the street, hit the Tropicana, and head north all the way ending up at the Riviera. You have to follow the same procedure at each craps pit: wait for a come out roll, and see the roll through. If you confirm there are no craps games going anywhere in the casino then you can leave for the next casino. No running. This is your mission. Now here's the question: what's the over/under on how long it takes a reasonably fit person to complete it. I'll throw out the first guess: 17 hours. Hint: there's approximately 30 casinos that front the strip you will have to enter. (You don't have to go off strip to casinos like Hooters or LVH).:ssst:

I think the roughest part will be when it starts to get later and you hit some low limit places like Casino Royale where you have to wait like an hour to get an elbow on the table.

I'll go 15 hours. You could easily be in and out of a casino in 10 minutes, but the travelling would take it's toll. Can you take the monorails at all?

I like your plan! Me and my buddy are planning something similar starting on the south end at mandalay bay and ending at the wynn. One drink minimum at each casino/hotel. Gambling is optional all depending on the vibe. Got the idea from one of the trip reports on this board.

I will be at the Aurora bar at Luxor playing VP. If anyone makes it that far I am sure you will be ready for a Fat Tire draft!

I'm thinking 12 hours. I also think if you could reverse the side the strip you start on(side of the road, not MB), it would help. My experience has just been that Quad, Casinos Royal and PH have been the places where I've actually struggled to get on a table in the evening.

10 hours is 20 minute per casino which I think is possible, and I just put in 2 hours extra for random crap to happen and getting on the table while a roll is on.

I am making the assumption that I can leave after the first come out roll is resolved, and not have to wait for the 7out.

    A couple of questions:

Do you have to start at the Stratoshpere? What about starting at any strip casino, so long as the route is north to south along the west side of the Strip and south to north along the east side, ending in the same casino that you started in?

How about Caesars Palace? Do you have to shoot in the Palace and Forum casinos, or is one table, one pit acceptible as long as its under one roof? Ditto for Quad/O'Shea's and Harrah's/Margaritaville?

Can we assume Wynn & Encore are two different properties, along with Venetian and Pallazo?

Sounds like a real undertaking! I might just give it a try on one of my trips.

You'll probably spend over 3 cumulative hours cashing your chips back before leaving the casinos.

I'm not coming up with over 30, even counting The STRAT as on the strip (which I don't :) )

There's a trip report on another board where 4 guys basically did this, but but a single number in roulette and got an alcoholic beverage in each casino. They stopped for meals and stumbled a lot, but it took them around 19 hours

Sorry, can't do it. I just made a number and now you want me to leave?!
I would have to wait for a seven out to move on.

I am planning on trying something like this too but not with all the casinos, only a portion of them. I asked a question in the travel section on shortcuts between hotels for this reason. I think it will take a longer time then estimated because of time spent at the tables and the cage and the distance between hotels. But I think it is a good way to stay under the radar since you will never win or lose too much in any one casino.

I like the idea of getting a drink at every casino. Probably should be hard or soft - it's a craps crawl, not a pub crawl, after all.

Keep your receipt and you'd have a time stamp from each casino to verify visits, their order, and overall elapsed time.

I've done something like this on Fremont street before, 12 stops including the Western at the time. I think it would still be 12 today now that DTG is open.

    Downtown Grand
    California
    Main Street Station
    Plaza
    Golden Gate
    Las Vegas Club
    Binion's
    Golden Nugget
    Four Queens
    Fremont
    The D
    El Cortez

    Did I miss any?

My rule was a fixed buy in at each joint, one comped drink, and leave whenever it felt time to move on. Easy to accomplish in a long evening.

The strip trek sounds grueling. :)

1000% of the strop trek sounding grueling. & the strip has way to many distractions. I could see myself starting off on this journey, then I hit a craps table where the cocktail waitress is just on fire (bringing me drinks every couple of mins). I get side tracked by the free drinks & say screw it.

    Ooh! Ooh!

As soon as you find a joint on the strip where the CW brings drinks every couple of minutes - CALL ME!! I'll be right there!

I've been looking for that place for years.
