Hey "first timer" here for Vegas and I live to play card games. Blackjack, and three card poker especially. I am going to Vegas on a bit of a budget and I am just wondering are there any casinos that play low buy in games? I just can't afford to throw down 10.00 a hand for blackjack I'll be broke in a day. So what I am kind of asking is there any places with say a 2.00 or 3.00 buy in or at certain hours of the day? Thanks for your time

In Vegas?? Lol, you're lucky to find a decent $5 blackjack table...
The best you'll find is probably Fremont casino or El Cortez...
Seriously, come to Reno, TONS of decent $3 blackjack.

Pretty much off strip or Downtown like Tim said, no way you will find much on strip lower than $10. El Cortez used to have $3 a while back but im not sure its still available or not, if so it would only be during the morning and early day and probably weekdays at that!

    The El-Co has a VERY good $3 minimum table - Two-deck shoe, 3:2, H17 with DAS. About 66% penetration.
It's been available every time I've been in there, including at night.

    That IS good!
The only trump on that, is Reno is single-deck, and it's only at ONE casino. (Rail City)

Early mornings at Monte Carlo you can catch $5 blackjack 3:2, especially on Saturday and Sunday early mornings.

    $5 tables

Circus circus has $5 BJ a lot of the time and you may want to checkout Casino Royale as the have low limits. You can find $5 tables during the day through the week at some strip casinos and downtown has $5 min tables all the time at various casinos.

If you want to go super low the Riviera had a $1 BJ table back in October.

Any "Fremont Street" casino will keep you happy. The"D" is my personal recommendation. They treat you good there.

Actually there are only a few casinos downtown that have $3 tables and the D isn't one of them IMHO.

A lot of $1 BJ games I have seen charge a 25c fee per hand. If you thought 6:5 was bad...:evillaugh

Yikes. If I can't swing $5 or $10 a hand. I don't need to be gambling at all. I've got some money issues that I need to take care of.

If you are needing a cheap buffet in the morning, and want to play for $5 BJ, the Gold Coast is one of my favorite morning game stops. They used to have $3 table but not sure anymore. The GC is next to the RIO just off the strip (flamingo), and is a simple walk if you take the shuttle to the Rio.

I don't think that's fair to say. Just because you have a small bankroll means you can't gamble?

I'm sure there are plenty of people that head to Vegas every year where 70-80% of their entire trips budget was spent on plane ticket, hotel and food. They could also choose a $100 show instead of a bigger gambling budget. Finding the place to get the most out of a limited gambling budget doesn't mean you can't afford to gamble.

I have family that take no more than $300 with them because 90% of their betting is sports. I know I've been on tables where $300 on a $10 table could be gone in an hour.

That's me and my g/f somewhat, but worst case scenario, combined gambling budget may equal plane + hotel + food, which is unlike about 95% of this forum. We've been going to Vegas more often recently because myVegas subsidizes our trip significantly with Milfe rooms we would never earn from play volume.

My motto is: "The cheaper I can do Vegas; the more often I can go!"
