Would it be worth creating a list of all Las Vegas cheap drink deals that are current? Leave replies here and I can update this post every day or two to keep a new updates list. I know how drink specials change so it would be helpful for lots of people to be able to see an updated list whenever specials are added or removed by casinos. Is this worth trying?

I would love to see a masterlist of all the drink specials/cheap drinks/pitchers on the strip. I've toned down the gambling a lot on recent trips and mainly go for the pools and relaxation and to party instead of gambling 18 hours out of the day.

Well I know the Internet tends to be outdated and it's difficult to find accurate specials at casinos, just as it is to find accurate VP machine locations, but vpfree is an incredible reference site. I think a regularly updated list would be a big help to the cheap drunk Vegas goers like myself

You mentioned the biggest issue with this kind of thing. We've tried lists like this in the past and what we need is a person who is willing to do the editing and keep the list updated. It is no easy task and isn't something you can really do on a whim, it has to be constantly monitored. Which is why a thread seems like a great place for one as the whole community could help in keeping the data up to date.

If you want to start the thread, I'll try to help you keep the list updated as your ability to edit may expire at some point, depending on your membership level.

What have you got to get us started?

Wasn't aware the ability to edit would expire. I would be willing to edit every day or two, I am a frequent reader but rarely post. I'll dig into some sources and previous posts tomorrow to get a list started. Would a mod be able to allow me to continue to edit this thread?

I'll do what I can to help you. You start gathering the info and I'll help you guys put it together and work out the editing issues.

Thanks for volunteering to do the gathering. It's a big job!

You are referring to Eater's "Ultimate Guide to Happy Hours". it was being updated on a monthly basis, but the most recent
    is November 2013.

    http://vegas.eater.com/archives/2013/11/01/updated-ultimate-guide-to-happy-hours-nov-2013.php

Here are a few happy hours that I have put together for my next trip.

    1) Brio Tuscan Grille, Town Square, Wed $5 martinis, M-F 3:30-6:30PM $4-6 apps
    2) Chart House @ Golden Nugget, M-F 4-6P, $7 martinis, $6 mojitos, $5-7 apps
    3) The Commissary @ The Grand, 4-7PM daily , $4 mojitos
    4) Elixir in Henderson, M-F 3-6P, $5 specialty drinks + wine
    5) Gaudi Bar @ Sunset Station – daily 4-7PM $5 martinis
    6) Twin Creeks lounge @ Silverton, 5-6, 9-10, 50% off apps, non craft beer and specialty cocktails
    7) Zenshin @ South Point, daily 2-6pm, Asahi drafts, select apps, $5 specialty drinks

They make an excellent mojito at the Florida Cafe in the Ho Jo's and we were allowed to a Restaurant.com certificate on our last trip
that brought the price down to around $4-$5.

    Drink specials

99 cents: Margaritas at Fiesta Henderson, Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Sunset Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station, Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho.
99 cents: Margaritas from any casino bar at the Fremont Hotel.
$2: Bud Light pints at any casino bar or lounge at Silverton.
$2: Corona beers at Fremont Casino.
$5: Early dining specials from 4 - 6 p.m., featuring Sterling Vintner's Collection wines and 1/2 price cocktails (excludes Saturdays and holidays) at the Steak House at Circus Circus.

You may need a club card and some casinos make you jump through hoops to get the special rendering it a pain in the ass. Like Ellis Island you have to rack up points and get a coupon from the machine.

You might need to go to the player's club to get a voucher before you go through any lines.

Always best to check first before you wait in any lines.

There's usually some kind of catch.

The vast majority will comp you drinks at the bar with a modest buy in on video poker.

    ;)

I can vouch for the Verandah happy hour, we did it last summer. Really nice room with good service and a view of the pool that someone described as a scene from a Bond movie. Food specials were very good and the drink choices unique.
