A Thursday daytime high of -1. Predicted low of -17 F for Thursday night.
It's almost March! Enough already. Actual temperatures, not wind chills.:poke: And then of course some snow on Friday.

Those temps are for the airport which is near Lake Michigan, which keeps things a little "warmer". We're inland, so we could easily be -25.:cry:

Oh and for the topper, there are dangerous wind chill warnings for Thursday.

Joe, what's that expression about doing the same thing over and over yet expecting a different result????

But fear not, mi compadre, our first bit of winter is rapidly approaching and we're not expected to get too far up into the 60s as a result. I am simpatico with your plight!!

    Damn storms.

Just build a wall like in Game of Thrones between you and Canada. Make it out of ice since it is cold enough.

I know - this is just unbelievable. We have below zero temps forecast through next week.

    -10 tonight
    -12 Wednesday Night
-18 Thursday Night (-1 is the high for Thursday)
    -9 Friday Night
    -7 Saturday Night
Ooh, and then we get one night where the temp doesn't go below zero - with a low of 1 above for Sunday Night
    -3 Monday Night
    -8 Tuesday Night
    -4 Wednesday

So basically 8 of the next 9 nights are below zero.

I have GOT to get out of this freakin state!!!

The normal high for Thursday should be 36 which would feel pretty damn warm right about now. Noon temperature 11 F.

A great thread where all of the Minnesotans can complain about our fabulous below zero weather!! VMB has beem getting a lot more traffic in my household this winter.

Side note: I did enjoy that comment about building a Game of Thrones type "wall"!

    Winter, bah!

The way I'm dealing with this winter is booking away time for next winter. Just completed booking 2 weeks in Clearwater FL for Jan-Feb 2015. This includes a one week cruise in the Caribbean. 23 days til Spring!:rolleyes2:

    What can I say Joe?

Pull up stakes and move down here. At least AC is close to beat the winter blahs.

Joe, I know you hated living in Las Vegas but I fail to understand the logic in going back to somewhere else you dislike. Why not consider a more temperate area that is possibly a combination of the best of both worlds, and you can still visit home and Vegas when you choose.

My idea may be silly, since I don't know the USA very well outside Nevada, Colorado and Florida, but I would hope somewhere would make you happy.

    Just a thought.....

I have 3 older brothers. The twins are 73 & the oldest will be 76 and they all live here in Wisconsin. I felt a desire to move back. We meet almost monthly for pizza & beer, which was something I missed living in Vegas where I got to see them only once or twice a year.

Also understand we are suffering through one of our coldest winters in about 30 years. So I whine on VMB since my wife is tired of hearing about it.:evillaugh
