So apparently they have a new name for It, whatever It is:

I received a mailer for a few days in Laughlin which included "Don't miss your chance to get away for $399 per person! You will also be charged a $20 per person Experience fee at time of booking."

    Experience fee? WTF?

Yes, even on the comped trips you still have to pay this fee. I have a flyer for a comped trip to Laughlin for March 25 and you still have to pay the $20 experience fee per person.

The experience fee is something that their airline partner charges. I don't know if it includes anything like luggage or drinks. I've been on junkets with them through major airlines and there was no experience fee, just potential ala carte fees from the airline.

I have received similar comped offers (beyond the $20 fee) to Tunica and Laughlin.

In the 1990s, we would take the Laughlin junkets and rent a car in Bullhead to stay in Vegas.

I'm surprised no hotel or hotel group has tried this.

How about" we charge no resort fees " as a marketing campaign to get a larger share of LV visitors. Could you imagine your local supermarket telling you that your grocery bill comes to $ !50 for example, but theres a $20 parking ,shopping cart etc. fee? I'm as guilty as anyone being a sucker,we're going to Vegas the end of march and the "resort fee" for Wynn is $25 plus tax per night. Makes me sick to pay this, and yes, someone,Mrs. JG did put a gun to my head and told me we have to stay there for a couple of nights.
