Don't know about that particular lounge but there are many smoking areas with slots at McCarran; they are glassed in.

If this is the place I've been that overlooks baggage claim, yes, it is smoking permitted.

Where? I thought all of those were gone. I haven't seen one in years.

That's funny...I saw that place last December and just thought it was a gaming lounge/bar. I was on the way to meet my sister so I didn't stop to check.

There's also one like Breanna described in whatever gate Delta flies out of. Don't know if that's C or not?

Yeah - I know about the glassed-in, poorly-ventilated smoking boxes that have slots & VP in them.
I'm just very happy about a regular normal bar again being "permitted" to allow their customers to smoke while having a beer.

    according to the map

    ◾Barney's Lounge (C Gates)
    ◾Bud Track Lounge (Esplanade)
    ◾Enclosed Gaming Lounges (C, D & E Gates)
◾Outdoors near ticketing & baggage claim

I thought they'd got rid of them all - maybe they have reinstated them.

They had gotten rid of them all due to the law that had passed, but a year or so ago, they did have them back again, I've only seen the one on C concourse, but I'm sure there are the others as mikenhe indicated.

The problem, I think, is that the law now basically says that places that serve food can't also permit smoking, and most of the bars in the airport doubled as restaurants. It's why there's no smoking at places like Petrossian, for example. So if it's truly just a "normal bar" in the sense of being a drinks-only establishment, then that's one thing, but I recall most of them also serving food, which means they'd need to choose between dining and smoking, and it makes sense to me that they'd keep their kitchen open and draw in a wider crowd.

I don't necessarily agree with this. There are a lot of places to eat, but if you have the only place to smoke in the area....I read that the Bud Track Lounge used to serve food and after they passed the law about no smoking with food service they stopped allowing smoking. Later, they decided to stop serving food so they could allow smoking again.
