So this is something I've wondered about for awhile. When my husband and I go to Vegas, we gamble together. We're married - so obviously any money that we win or lose is our money, not mine or his.

So if I put $50 in bets on a $10 craps table and he does too, we are each rated as $50 players seperately....yet we are actually betting $100 together. Have you ever heard of them rating us both on one card? Like, letting us share his card? I've heard that some casinos will let you do it, but I've never actually asked.

My late partner and I have shared cards before. I usually have a few so we each used one. He played BJ and I play VP. Not sure this works if you're both playing a table game at the same time though.

At Aria they rated my wife's limited play on my card when she played 3 card poker or craps with me.
Last time I played at Paris the floor man refused to do it and said it was not allowed there anymore.

In October everywhere we went rated us together. I had 100-200 a roll and she maybe 25-30. I just let them know we where together. Hope this helps, I was to lazy to check actual rating

I would guess your chances of it happening will increase if you only present one card.

Total rewards has a spot on their website that allows you to enter your significant others card. No clue what it actually does though.

The only place I have ever seen that is for booking rooms. I am willing to bet that is what you saw.

Sometimes if one person looks for a room, it might be, for example $50 a night. But if they add another person (related or not), it might become free. They are then looking at the play of both people.

This is totally different than the rating question.

That's interesting though. Good to know. I think we just ignored that field last time we booked a room. Cool, thanks!! :)

I also have a question about putting 2 peoples play on one card...if we went to the TR desk at (insert CET casino here) and I told them I've lost my card and they issued me a new one, I now have 2 in my posession. Can my wife and I both use my cards at the same time or do they deactivate the one I "lost"? We would be using them for slots and/or VP, just to keep offers coming

I believe they deactivate the old one. I lost my card last time we were there. I found it the next day and tried to use it in a slot machine and it wouldn't read it. Now, if you're playing table games, I'm sure they'd just type in the number on the card if it wouldn't scan.
Although, my card may have not worked if it was scratched or de-magnetized for some reason....so I'm not positive if the deactivated it or not.

I know the casino closer to home deactivates old card...but that's not a CET property. Not sure if that's common practice or not.
I imagine they would though, for security.

However, if you go to the desk and simply say "I'd like two cards" - that is fine and they will both work. My husband did this on our last trip, because he always loses his card at least once....so that just saved him the hassle of having to go back and get a new card when he inevitably lost the first one.

But you cannot use both cards in a slot machine at the exact same time. The casino where I live can also see if you're still "logged in" at another table....so if you leave craps and they don't log you out, then you go to roulette...the roulette table will close your card at the craps table and log you in at Roulette, so you can't both be at two different games with one card. I don't know if vegas is the same tho...

At MGM and CET the above two comments are wrong.

I have lots of cards - sometimes I leave them in the room, car, other shirt,
etc. None have ever been deactivated.

I often play two machines at once, and points rack up. Or my wife and I are playing on same card, different machines.

Only time I run into a problem is when downloading freeplay. System gets confused. At MGM casinos, it sometimes locks the card up and I have to go it released at Players Club desk.

Muddy up the issue here, but at all Boyd properties in Vegas, we both play on my card and there is no problems with accounting etc.
I keep good records and daily totals.

Great thanks for the info! We'll give it a try in June to get another card and see what happens...

If they say no, let them know you'll take your gaming elsewhere, where you can.

My wife and I play on just her card. She gets extras and we both play the slots to build points on 1 account. Recently at local Harrahs, the staff were going around and talking to players and had hand held devices that showed name of person playing at each slot machine, that had players cards inserted. Twice I had staff show up and look at me and say you are not Denise. I said she is around here somewhere and they smiled and left me alone.

At Treasure Island last year they were putting my girlfriend and my play on my card when we played blackjack together. They offered it so I was fine with it.

They do this at most Harrahs for "regular" players. They get notice on their phones (handheld devices) that certain players are in the house, and to welcome them. They always ask if they can do anything for them. I sometimes say I would like a nice glass of wine - they then look for a cocktail waitress, maybe. So, not sure what they would or could actually do.

And yes, it happens when I have my wifes card in the slot. They are used to it.

My husband and I use one card until one of us hits Diamond then use the other. This is for slots and VP. I don't think CET will let you combine at tables, but I have never asked. I will next trip. If you hit big, and have their card in, just say oops, and call them or give them the correct info. I have not heard of them denying a jackpot. We usually carry each others cards as do most couples.

In Vegas I recall a dealer at the Cosmo telling the pit boss -"they're together" since my husband I rarely sit together at BJ - I think that all got credited to him since he just got a decent offer from them. And the last time we were in Biloxi the dealer told the pit boss we were together - which is think went to me since I get all those offers (and I was betting higher).

We use my card on slots where ever we go - he hardly plays & it seems a better way to consolidate the effort.

NSH is correct in his assumption. My wife and I were in Vegas last month for 8 nights. I just rebooked for another 8 nights at Harrahs in November. When I logged in with just my number I got discounted room rates, when I added her number we got 5 nights comped.....super pumped about heading back in November.
