Wife and I are looking at coming out to Vegas middle of June and was wondering about how the construction was going on at The Quad? It sounds like alot has changed since we were there in 2012. I have read where the rooms are about the same, but that's ok because we are hardly ever in the room. Thanks in advance.

Currently rooms are the same but they are upgrading them soon, the Casino construction was close to complete when I was there in January and the Linq should be completed soon as well.

By the time you get there, casino reno should be complete and the Linq should be completely open. As far as hotel reno, I dunno, but I assume they do that section by section so you won't notice much unless they replace those horrible elevators...

Look at the Flamingo as an alternative. That's what I did for my 40th at the butt end of May. It exits right out onto the Linq as well.

I think they upgraded the motors or something in them, they honestly were a whole lot quicker this past January than they were last summer

The trick I always use is to not wait for the 4 elevators and go behind to the two that are hidden behind. They are used far less and take you to the exact same floors just less stops along the way. :)

I will say I always request the highest floor possible at the Quad. While I may stop at 4-5 floors on the way down, I always get a spot in the elevator.

Use the Total Rewards check-in counter instead of waiting in the long general check-in line at The Quad.

If you don't have a TR card, I think you can get one online.
