    My Trip Report

I'm winning the slacker trip report award this year for sure, since I leave tomorrow night for my next trip. What there's no reward? Darn it! Anyway, here's my November trip report from a few days before Thanksgiving where we went to the Grazie Gift show, met up with friends from various message boards, dinners at the usual places, a painful necklace loss, photos and slot videos!

    Happy Holidays!

Thanks broncofn. LOL on Dvandentop and his avatar. Even after meeting him it's usually the avatar that comes to mind when I'm reading one of his posts.

dfalk, with the way my luck has been running this year I think my holiday trip next week might see me taking a long break from Vegas next year or at least a lot less trips.

    Happy holidays everyone!

So sorry on the loss of your necklace. Being as nice as you are, I am sure lots of luck will come your way to replace it.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I finally did have some luck at the end of 2013 during my family's Christmas trip to Vegas.

I can't remember if I posted a link to it on this board or not, in case I didn't and you're interested in reading one where I leave a winner, LOL, here's the link:

Absolutely love your reports, thank you for taking your time to post them.
I live in the UK and Sticky Toffee Pudding is one of our best loved deserts; we had this for our Christmas lunch once again this year. If you would like the recipe then please let me know and I will gladly post it here. (Whilst being super delicious it is actually pretty simple to make!)

I seriously think I've seen so many of your videos that I hear your voice in my sleep. My husband could be in the other room watching youtube slot vids...and I'm like "That's DIANA!!" :kill:

    Thanks Sybgal!

Marney, I'm with Linda please post your recipe for sticky toffee pudding. Is it traditional to serve it with the sauce and brown butter ice cream like Gordon Ramsay does?

weluvvegas, LMAO, I'm so sorry you are hearing my voice in your sleep from the slot videos. If there's one thing I could change it would be the sound of my voice. If you watch Sdguy1234 videos on youtube then you know how distinctive his voice and comments are. When I played slots with him in September we actually had random people come up to him in the casino and recognize him by his voice only! Once at Aria when he wasn't answering a text my husband located him in the noisy casino just by hearing Sdguy's voice as he was yelling during a slot bonus. :rolleyes2:

    Sticky Toffee Pudding
6 oz stoned dates finely chopped 8oz plain flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 egg whisked 6oz granulated sugar 2oz soft butter ½ pint boiling water 1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda Toffee topping; 2 ½ oz Demerara sugar 1 ½ oz butter 2 tablespoons double cream ( my family insist that I double these quantities so there is lots of sauce!!) Cover the dates in boiling water and leave to soak. Cream together the sugar and butter using an electric whisk. Add a little flour and beat in the egg, gradually mixing in the remaining flour. Whisk the dates and water into the flour to form a sloppy batter. Pour into a well greased 10 x 8 inch cake tin and bake for 40 minutes at gas mark 3 / 375 F. To make the topping heat the brown sugar, butter and cream together. Simmer gently until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. I serve this with either vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or custard. Hope you enjoy !!

Oh I love your voice! And SDGuy - well he's an absolute fave of mine. That's funny because I told my husband that if I ever heard him in a casino I'd know exactly who he was!! "Bonus Mother F-er!" Oh Lord, he is too much!

One of these days I'm going to plan a trip that falls at the same time as one of ya'lls meets. You all are just so much fun!

weluvvegas, next time you are planning a trip send me a PM and I'll let you know if your trip coincides with one that Sdguy or myself are doing either separately or together. :) Sdguy is a riot to be around. :)
