The concept is funny, but I'd be guessing that guy probably figured all cocktail waitresses were cheap and easy, asked a dozen out, they all said no and now he's pissed and has an axe to grind...

What an outstanding video! Generally speaking, cocktail servers at the big Las Vegas clubs do absolutely nothing and get paid a fortune due to the automatic gratuity that is applied at many clubs.

In my experience, the cocktail server brings your bottles to the table, makes the first drink for everyone at the table, and then does absolutely nothing the rest of the night and makes hundreds of dollars in tips per table. They don't refill ice or mixers, they don't bring new glasses or pick up old glasses (somebody else does that). And, they are nowhere to be found when you want to pay your tab and leave. Not to mention the fact that they are rude and pushy when you don't order more bottles (which will immediately add hundreds of more dollars to their already hefty undeserved tip).

Funny ass video. Not sure why someone would spend their hard-earned money to make a professional video of this nature, but it put a smile on my face!

 

Very funny and I sent it to two friends who are cocktail waitresses in Vegas.

 

If articles like the following are accurate, the girls are making low six-figures working just 3 nights a week and the VIP hosts make a lot more. I imagine there is a ton of turnover in the industry though, and awful future job prospects. In the first link, apparently at 35 she was too old to even be a host anymore.

Those chicks were hot. Nice. It should be noted, however, that cocktail waitress tips have ALWAYS been subject to income tax, IRS rule changes notwithstanding.
Waitresses that don't make a good faith effort to accurately report tips as income are guilty of tax evasion.

 

I'd say that is about right. I can't say precisely but my ex-girlfriend was making somewhere around 2-3k most weeks working Thur-Sat. Sometimes more sometimes less - and this wasn't at a top club. Much of it was in cash.

 

Well, if they are smart, work a second CW casino job (that one pays the bills), and don't blow it all, and save, they could retire by 35.

If the bottle girls are making six figures working 3 nights per week they are probably making more than many of their customers. After reading their quotes in those articles it doesn't seem like they have much respect for those customers either.

 

Call me an a-hole but whenever I see a service girl with fake boobs or that is flirty I actually feel like tipping less.

 

I'm the opposite....
