our next trip to Vegas isnt for another 11 months - which is a ton more time to play MyVegas and rack up more points...

The last time I was in Vegas with my sister was January 2013 and MyVegas had only been going about 6-8 months but we'd racked up enough points to get about $700 in freebies on the trip - this was also before they came up with the stupid rule of "limit of 3" for comps..

I have just over 500k in coins now so who know how many I'll have in another 11 months...

I belive the rules now state that if I want to redeem more than 3 offers, I have to buy coins and then depending on "some unknown calculation" it tells me if I can redeem more than the standard 3 offers..

so HOW do I find out how many coins I need to buy, or how far in advance I need to start buying coins to be able to redeem more than 3 offers?

I know I want to redeem the "Bellagio Dinner Buffet for 2" and the "Bellagio Lunch Buffet for 2" but I could see being able to redeem at least 3 more offers with the coins I'll be earning over the next few months.

and I dont get to go to Vegas often enough to just bank my points and hold them until next time since who knows how long this game will contine.

    THANKS!

You kind of hit the nail on the head here without realizing it.

It's an "unknown calculation" because, well, we don't know how much you have to buy in order to get more than 3 rewards.

They refuse to offer any details of what exactly it takes in order to get more.

ugh.....I wonder if there is anyone on this Board who has bought coins simply to be able to redeem more than 3 offers...

and if it worked for them..

I would be willing to buy some coins, but not hundreds of dollars of coins..that would defeat the purpose..but Im sure that what I'd have to do..:rolleyes2:

I bought $50 worth solely for an extra reward and it worked. this has worked for many other people on the facebook pages as well. But there are no guarantees. It was back in December when I did it, things may have changed.

I've heard it is upwards of 400 for anything beyond 4.

I have also heard of it NOT working for $50 spent.

I've heard its a combination of coins bought AND playing habits, so it would be a bit difficult to quantify. We had 4x rewards for a while, but they are gone now, along with most of the better deals.

From the MyVegas FAQ: ADDITIONAL REWARD BENEFITS

As an added benefit to loyal myVEGAS players who regularly make in-game purchases, we offer the opportunity to redeem additional rewards, over and above the limits set by our partners. The exact number of additional rewards allowed will vary from player to player and is based on a number of factors, in addition to a player's purchase history.

    So YMMV. :evillaugh

So I just checked and I am still at 4 rewards. If its a combination of playing habits/freinds/purchases then heres what I have done

My purchases were $5, $19 x 2, and $9 over the course of 1 year (the two $19 purchases were in December when I was trying to get the extra reward). Play daily, with 51 friends. In canada if that might make a difference.

Definitely not saying it will work for everyone, but it worked for me.

If they're trying to sell chips it seems like it would make sense for them to give us the guidelines. I'll probably never ever buy chips but if I knew I got a fourth reward out of it and might be willing to.....

How do you go about checking on how many redemptions you're authorized?

Usually if you go to purchase another, a pop up will appear telling you that you can't do it.

I don't even know if I'll *need* the extra items, but it wouldn't hurt. I'm planning on getting:
    1. Buffet Bellagio passes
    2. Love tickets
    3. ???????
    4. Profit

I did send a question to the Q&A folks at MyVegas, and they did tell me that you can purchase more than 3 rewards if those extra rewards are not through a MGM resort - like the Monorail, the Sugar Factory, Wolfgang Puck or the House of Blues..

    1. Pull up any reward that allows you to click the Next button.

    2. Under "Purchase & Redemption Limitations" it will say:
"Redemptions limited to any X rewards fromMGM Resorts International, regardless of type, within a rolling 30 day period."

If it is more than 3, that is where it will tell you.
