How do they compare? They're both available on myVegas for differing prices (78K for Aria, 136K for Bellagio). What's everyone's personal preference and what are the main differences between the two? Thanks.

I haven't eaten at the Bellagio Buffet since 2005; but, I did eat at Aria's buffet in October and was truly underwhelmed. I had read other reports about it not being that good. It's not that the food is bad; it's just that it isn't at the quality level that you would expect from a property like Aria.

Not trying to hijack this thread but how would the MGM buffet compare to Bellagio since it's available for quite a bit less on my Vegas.

Bellagio is the best of the mlife buffets. After Bellagio, I would say Aria, MGM Grand, and Mirage are the next best. I wouldn't eat at any of the others

There was a time where I thought the buffets were a decent deal on MyVegas. I just think they raised the prices too much. 136k for 2 lunch buffets at Bellagio seems way too high.

While I don't think the Aria is as good, I feel a good deal is the Aria BOGO lunch buffet pass for 8k. The 2 for 1 at Mirage for Dinner I also think is a good deal at 13k. I put the Mirage buffet above Aria. It may be personal preference but I just liked all the staffed stations(mainly salad and pasta) and other food sections were just better to me.

I have had both and the Bellagio buffet is clearly superior. Bellagio also has quite an excellent breakfast buffet. The best in Vegas.

I have also had both. I was slightly underwhelmed with Bellagio and thought Aria was slightly better than expected. For the LP cost on MyVegas, I would go with Aria.

    Here are my rankings:

    Breakfast-Mandalay Bay- Overall. More choice.
Aria- Close to MB but not quite.
Bellagio- Can't comment. Haven't been there for breakfast.

Lunch- Aria- Better choice. Need to pay for alcohol.
Mandalay Bay- Very close for taste and selection to Aria. Free
    alcohol.
Bellagio- Not even close to my expectations. Lacking something...

Dinner- Aria- Lots of different cuisine. Not bad for a buffet
Mandalay Bay- On par with Aria. Might not have quite as much but
    free alcohol.
Bellagio- Disappointed again. The second time...

I think that it all depends on where you are staying. I think that they are all close in quality...it's a buffet.

If alcohol is your thing with dinner but you are staying close to Aria. Go with Aria. The cost of a cab outweighs the alcohol. If you are in between both, then Mandalay Bay. Free alcohol.

I have 530,000 LPs so cost really isn't an issue on this trip. I'm planning on getting the buffet passes, a ticket to Love and something else that's kinda pricey.

Bellagio is better than Aria but I don't think it's twice as good! The points required for Bellagio buffet are not worth it.

Just got back from both buffets with MyVegas for both.

Bellagio for sure. I've done it twice!

Got the Aria dinner buffet, what a disappointment. I waited for the prime rib to come out, it was late, and it showed why. The damn thing was gray all the way to the center. No rare, medium-rare, not even any medium meat in it. I actually cried.
Went and filled up on potstickers and cilantro rice which were the highlights of the Aria dinner buffet IMHO.

A surprise here for the second best dinner buffet from MyVegas would be at Mandalay Bay. I'm going again in a few weeks. :licklips:

Thanks DReynolds, for asking this question and thanks everybody for the responses. I've been wondering the same thing. We've been to the Bellagio buffet a few times and really like it, but didn't know how it compared.

Personally, I think almost 300k is overpriced for dinner, but 138k for lunch seems tolerable.

Yeah, I'm definitely not popping for the dinner buffet but the lunch buffet seems okay.
