Encore - noise problem

I booked a room at encore and reading reviews at Travelocity a lot of people complain about hearing club music in their rooms all night. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

 

Ask for the highest floor possible and you won't have a problem.

 

South Facing Rooms get some bass from the clubs even on high floors (though higher is better, of course). Not awful. But definitely noticeable, and I could see it being an issue for a non-drinking light sleeper.

North Facing Rooms are quiet - no issues at all in my experience.


I've never heard a peep at Wynn, even on low floors.

 

Wynn and Encore both get club noise in some rooms. Make sure to specify that you want a quiet room, away from club noise, when you check-in.

 

I drank several glasses of champagne and still couldn't sleep due to the club noise. Haven't been back to Encore since.

 

heres a trick if you want the noise and want to go to the club

call down to the front desk around 11 pm tell that the noise is not acceptable and ruining your experince and im coming down to talk to you.


you go down to the front desk u ask for the mgr and you tell him you paid alot of money and the nite club noise is keeping you up so since you cant sleep im going to get dress and i expectecto be walked in comped to the club and ill just have to deal with the noise that way.thats one way to skip the line

i got into a major pool concert that way not on purpose but i coudnt get my disco nap it was so loud in my room they comped out the concert and drinks just to get rid of me.i would rather have been napping but there was nothing i could do i was so dam loud in my room.

 

Thanks for all the replies and help. Maybe I should call them up and switch to a Wynn room? I'm shocked a high end hotel would have over looked this huge problem.

 

They haven't overlooked it. They have made a decision that the money they can make from the clubs is more important than being able to offer nighttime quiet in all of their rooms.

 

Is their pool club open now? If not, when does it open. I want to know if I'm gonna need to request a quiet room when I go.

 

Every high end hotel with a nightclub has this problem with some rooms. I have stayed probably a 3 month worth of nights at wynncore and never had an issue so it can easily be avoided. If staying at encore just ask for a north facing room or just a quiet room and u will be fine. Its that easy problem solved.

 

The only slight disagreement I have with this statement is if the OP must have a smoking room. Encore only has a couple smoking floors and I've been told a few times I could only get one or the other (smoking or quiet).

Fingers crossed that I'll be in a non-smoking room for next month's trip, though (26 days cig-free ).

 

I had a miserable four nights at the Wynn owing to the noise. I was on a high floor.

My bed was literally bouncing from the vibrations (sounds nice, but it wasn't...!). I checked out early as I was suffering serious sleep deprivation.

The Encore, however, should be quiet if you get a high floor north facing room as there aren't any clubs on that side of the building - unless the Riviera snatches Calvin Harris and opens up a new discotheque!

 

Would you guys recommend I call them now and let them know my concerns so I can reserve a quiet north facing room? I don't want to show up and then they tell me there are none of those left.

 

Absolutely, they'll note the account... it can't hurt, but honestly not sure how much good it does. You're staying at a top-tier property, be firm with your concern, they'll take care of you.

 

I had the same problem one night at the Wynn a year ago, and when I went to the front desk to complain, she said "Oh... you want a QUIET room" and moved me quickly. No problems. Last weekend when I was there, I specified a quiet room when I made my reservation, they had it in their notes at checkin, and everything was fine.
