    Hello all,

I have a trip coming up in a couple weeks, 2/19 to 2/22. Usually about 2 weeks out I start getting excited and I'll start checking out this forum for all the great great advice and to see what's new or what to avoid. So thanks to all of y'all's posts as they help so much!

Anyway, after reading some posts on here, I'm concerned about staying about staying at Bally's due to construction. I'm a new platinum CET cardholder and stay at their properties any time I go to Vegas, usually a couple times per year. I'd prefer to stay at Paris, but the people I'm traveling with can't get comped there. I booked a premium jubilee room and my friends were able to get north tower rooms. Since hearing of the construction at Bally's, I switched to a comped Go room at Flamingo, having never stayed at that property. What would the pros/cons be to staying at Flamingo instead of Bally's. My main concerns are the room quality Go vs premium jubilee. Any inconveniences due to Linq/new Bill's construction. And just the unknown of never having stayed at Flamingo before. Is there anything I should ask for at check-in? Any trouble spots to avoid? I can easily switch back to the premium jubilee room, but looking to be convinced into trying out a new spot. One of my friends will be able to get a FAB room comped and the other will have a similar offer at Bally's or Flamingo.

Bally's seems easier to get freebees at lately (that's where we are next month) but if I had a real choice I would go with Flamingo since Bally's is such a {insert expletive implying intimacy with lesser bovids} at the time!

The main motor walkway (which was often out of service anyway) is all walled off and you either have to go around to the north or almost south to Paris to get in and out.

The walkway at Bally's has seldom worked the last few years anyway....there is construction at both hotels. We prefer the Bally's / Paris location so much better and the food options are great. We can always get free rooms at both but will only stay at B/P. Hope you have a great time wherever you stay!!

    ballys noise

We stayed at Ballys this past super bowl weekend. We had north tower rooms jubilee suite on the 60th floor. Ask for a room on the south side (facing Paris) which is where ours was located. I never really heard any construction activity noise where our room was. They were working, we just did not hear it.

If you are to exit the front main west entry you will have to walk around to get to the LV Blvd. It is not much more than a block at most. WE typically just went through Paris as we typically visited sites south of ballys.

Had a really really nice room and would stay again. The downside is that neither my wife or I won "jackshit" @ Ballys when we gambled there. Had decent luck at PH and Cosmo across the street.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a Flamingo vs. Bally's vs. Rio thread every few days?

    No consideration for Rio here.

We've stayed at both properties. Flamingo all the way!

Better casino, easier to get to the strip, Margaritaville....and the list goes on and on!

I apologize to the folks here that can't stand reruns.... However, can you all answer this for me? If my friend stays in a fab rooms and I stay in a go room, is it possible for is to be on the same floor/same tower?

There may be a mix of go and fab rooms, but I am not aware of it. We always stay on different floors when we go in groups. Its easy to navigate and sometimes that privacy is welcomed.
