Staying at Mirage in a couple of weeks, looking to pick up a watch in the $100-300 range. Can anyone recommend a specific store (perhaps Fashion Show Mall or Forum Shops) that would fit the bill?

    Cheers

i think it depends on the style (dressy, sporty, etc.) and possibly brands that you prefer. there are tons would fit your bill in macy's alone.

There must be many stores in those two malls that sell watches. Most of the casinos have some sort of jewelry store as well. And of course there is the mall across the street at V/P.

Not sure if the deal is any better there than at home. The good part about buying it at home is you are in much better shape if you have to return it.

I really do not mean to be offensive, but why do people shop so much in Vegas for things that they can get at home?

I'm guessing the price of the watch will be more in Vegas. Just a guess tho.

For the $200-300 range you are probably gonna end up with a quartz movement watch. If you go to Macy's, they carry Michael Kors watches. I have 2 of them, 1 in a quartz the other is automatic. Really nice watches, slightly oversized but not huge. They should be in the high end of your price range You might also be able to find a low end Citizen eco drive for $200-300.

I would check out the new Marshall's that opened up next door to the M&M store. I've never been in that particular store but all the other Marshall's near my house carry watches (some of them might be refurbished-- not necessarily a bad this)

Better selection, lower taxes and for Canadians...lower prices

A couple years ago we were in Vegas and my watch died on me. Went to Macy's at Fashion Show Mall and they had a pretty big selection of watches from $20 to $200 and then some higher end watches beyond that as well.

We happened to run across the new SWATCH store at NYNY, they are putting out some nice watches. This is coming from me and my buddy who both own Tags and I also have a Breitling. I have to say the SWATCH watches were nice looking, especially for the price.

I think they may have a store in the Forum shops as well.

    Ah, that could make sense.

I am probably not the best to ask anyways.... never bought a watch over $50. And, these days, we buy most of our stuff online anyways.

    Pawn shops?

If you know your watches it might be worth cab fare to check out a pawn shop or two.

Just a thought I haven't done it myself.
