What are your thoughts on this? I think I'll definitely give it a spin when I go to Vegas in April. If anyone is in Vegas or going soon, would love some live impressions.

I would play it if I manage to get to the Trop. It solves one issue for me on inside bets in that they rarely seem to hit for me.

There is still the problem that I have to get to the Trop though which I put at less than 25% on any random trip to Vegas.

Since they've re-done it I make sure to go once or twice a trip. I love it

Not much information on the link:
Double Ball Jackpot pays 1300 to 1 when both balls hit the same number
Maintains standard roulette rules and procedures

But there has to be something in it for the casino so I doubt the payouts remain the same.

Leaving for Vegas in a few days and I am right across the street from the Trop ........ I'll give it a try for sure and pass along any info I gather.

Glad I saw the thread cause other wise I would of never ventured into the Trop and missed this.

I have asked for the rules to the new game. I should have them shorty since this is all accomplished through emails. I'll post the new odds variances and the change in the new layout.

I like a carny bet as well, and love roulette (yeah I know some of you think roulette is a carny bet!), so I would probably throw a few bucks at the machine for the novelty aspect.

Those odds look pretty tough though !!!!

M Resort had some sort of double wheel roulette game for a little while. It was cool to watch but im not much of a roulette player. The dealers I spoke with said that it was very popular with their roulette players.

This looks similar and id imagine that this will get plenty of action from roulette junkies. That 1300:1 payout is pretty sweet. The game at the M had a 1200:1 bonus payout so this one is even better.

I get the thrill of the 1300 payout - but in comparison to the odds of hitting (which I assume are 1444/1 ??) not a great bet.

Having said that I have hit 2 x17's in a row several times, and 3 in 4 spins once - so why not for a few bucks !

The first line of that advertisement caught my attention:

"Double Ball Roulette™ has the excitement and intensity of playing with two balls at the same time."

    Uh....maybe I'l check it out.

So if I understand it right, the 2nd ball has nothing to do with the original roulette layout?

One ball defines the winning number on the usual felt while the 2nd ball determines a 2nd group of numbers?

So if you bet outside rows and sections, both balls need to land on those spots to win??

No. If you look at that promo flyer posted above, you'll see the standard payouts are basically half of a normal wheel. So two numbers will be selected every time, each independent of each other. If you hit a single number, you get 17:1 instead of 35:1. Same thing for other groups. There are ways to bet on black/black, black/red, etc. Those are new features.

The part I don't like is that you have to make a separate bet for the 1200x super payout on the double-match. If I make a regular single bet on 20, I feel like I should get something extra if both balls end up in 20, but that's not how it works. You have to bet on double-20 to get the jackpot payout.

But a clever idea, and more action and more frequent (and smaller) payouts, I would think.

This is the link Sam Williams sent as Sales Director of Games Marketing. It has some additional information but still leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

I'm no math Wizard, but it's easy to see that this will have even worse odds than regular roulette, that are terrible odds to start with. For sure worse if you take out the "jackpot" part of it. Probably worse even with that figured in.
