good prime rib bargains

If you are south strip, I like the one at the Mad Onion at Hooters Casino. $10 between 5-11 pm. I wanna say its an 8-10oz piece. Very good for the price.

 

Jerry's Nugget has excellent prime rib, very reasonable, and is tres underrated everywhere! It comes in three cuts, huge, ginormous, and cardiologist nightmare! The smallest one is more than enough for me. They call the smallest cut the "English Cut" and I always think of English Cut prime as thin slices (ala Lawry's) but this is a full-size "steak" cut and larger than most places serve as their regular cut. I don't see how anyone could eat either of the two larger servings in one sitting!

It's in a very iffy neighborhood (north of downtown on LVB) but the place itself is very safe. Parking lot is well lit and the casino has all kinds of the older machines that I like.

 

As well as the infamous 'steak special' there is also a prime rib special at Ellis Island. It's on the menu and is $12 or $13 and includes one of their beers.

 

Southpoint has a prime rib special in the coffee shop $13. It comes with with salad, potato etc. My wife gets it every trip. I prefer the porterhouse for same price. For the price I can't complain but I'm craving a really well aged steak!

I first did Jerry's prime rib about 20 years ago it was fantastic. It's been about 10 years since I've been there. I like the casino too.

 

Our favorite (maybe because it's so convenient to MSS) is the Market St. Cafe at the California. For $9.95, you get a trip to the salad bar, the full platter of a nice slab of prime rib, a huge baked potato, veggie (usually green beans), and cherries/ice cream jubilee for dessert. You will be lucky to finish it all ....

 

I see this is from the Southpoint Coronado Café. How does this compare to the Prime Rib at Southpoint Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant = Prime Rib at $17?

I ask for I sometimes wonder if it comes from the same kitchen? :evillaugh

 

And here is the way to beat the long lines at that Café. Walk up to the front and ask if there are seats at the bar. If there are, you'll be seated right away. And you don't have to be solo. I've done it with more than 4 when the seats were there and beat a huge line waiting for tables.

 

Cortez Room at Gold Coast deals a nice prime rib at a reasonable price in nice surroundings.

I can also recommend the Friday prime rib special at Anthony's Burgers & Brews (M Resort) if you're driving. ($15 Fridays only).

 

+1 for Market Street.

 

Primarily Prime Rib

Sorry I can't compare, I haven't tried Primarily Prime Rib restaurant. Maybe someone else has tried both.

Another vote for Market Street at the Cal. We also like Magnolia's at 4Q for prime rib.

 

4 Queens was good. My husband is a butcher and he got emotional looking at his plate of prime rib. Took him a minute before he could dig in.

 

I have tried the latter and thought it was very good.
