MGM 1 Bdrm Suite vs Signature 1 Burn Honeymoon

Have booked a suite at the MGM. My fiance would like to have a kitchen.

The suite at MGM came with tickets to KA.

The signature has a balcony.

Price about the same.

Which room is truly the better deal?

Do as wife (or future wife) wants. Even if it is illogical and make no financial sense. Is she planning to cook while there?

 

Not really. She wants to heat up left overs and maybe do breakfast. I'm telling her is Vegas, not the beach.

 

Do you have any desire to see KA? Why do you need the kitchen? How many nights? What are your plans while you are in Vegas?

We have stayed in both, though we were only in the Executive King at MGM, not the Tower One Bedroom. The Signature is nice, but it is a walk to the MGM casino. If you booked directly from MGM, there will not be any furniture on the balcony either, if that is important to you. I enjoyed the private entrance and valet parking at the Signature, as well as the pools for each tower. Signature is non gaming and only has one restaurant and a Starbucks, so you will have to walk to MGM or the Strip to eat unless you plan on having groceries delivered to your room.

I'd say the rooms are comparable, it just depends on what is really important to you. Keep the fiance happy, book the Signature.

 

Staying on the strip 5 nights and plan to see other shows and casino hop. Also relax in the room a little more than usual. She thinks the kitchen will save some dough and I agree it is convenient. Thanks for the heads up about the balcony furniture. I was thinking of using Jet Luxury to book the Signature. Hopefully the furnish the balcony.

 

How far would you estimate the walk From tower 3 signature to MGM casino?

 

I think the better deal is at MGM but like the others stated, book Signature to keep the fiance happy... After you're married, then book what you want!

 

It is a good 10 minutes. Not bad for once a day.It will get old after a couple days.
If you are planning on spending any time in the casino I would go with MGM.
Signature rooms are nice and a little more spacious but the trek back and forth is a not worth it in my opinion

 

It's a bit of a walk to get to casino (it also depends on which part of the casino you're talking about, MGM's casino is massive). I've only done the walk a couple of times, but I'd say anywhere between 5-20+ minutes, depending on how fast you walk and how far into the casino you mean. (5 minutes for a fast walker to the edge of the casino closest to The Signature, 20+ minutes for slow walker to the casino strip entrance).

 

Count on 10-15 minutes. Once you hit MGM you still have to walk through The District to get to the casino floor. It's another 5-10 minutes to the Strip.

If you are going through Jet Luxury, make sure housekeeping is included. Many people have reported that they didn't receive daily housekeeping and basic amenities were missing, like kitchen utensils. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that if you book through Jet, MGM staff can't help you if you have a problem. You have to call Jet. If you book directly through MGM, you can deal directly with MGM staff.

If you plan on seeing shows and casino hopping, I say take the MGM suite over a Jet Luxury Signature room. Show tickets are included and are you really going to want to be cooking and cleaning up on your honeymoon? Sure, having a kitchen may save a little money, but you are going to be on your honeymoon! Pamper yourselves, have fun!

 

Having stayed in Tower 3 at the Signature, it is very nice to be able to head out the back gate and walk down Harmon to get to the strip. Definitely the way to go rather than back through MGM. The moving walkways between the towers and MGM help with the walking which is 10 minutes max. Also a nice feature is the fact that you are relatively close to the monorail station. We used it a lot while we were there.
