This may have been covered before. And if it has, I apologize.

A spin off to the 'drinking in Vegas' thread, I think it would be good to know what everyone drinks in Vegas. I am not too adventurous when it comes to drinking beer. I stay with tried and true (for me at least). I usually drink Coors Light, and would like to know what is a good alternative to Coors. I also am known to drink Shiner Bock...

Can anyone recommend a good craft brew, or micro that would compare?

I was in Seattle on layover, and stopped in at an airport bar and had one of the best beers I have ever had. Don't recall the name of it, but I do recall it was a pilsner.

(Please accept my ignorance as to difference between Pilsner, ales, micros, and crafts)

    All of them

When in Vegas I tend to try them all. Especially the micro brews like at 777 brew pub or Ellis Island. I find Coors products too watery.

My favorite beer right now is Schlitz but I don't think it's available anywhere in Las Vegas.

What is the down side of Vegas gambling is that unless you're at the bar it's almost impossible to get an IPA or more of a lack of a better word quality beer. At home I drink from bomber bottles or thru growler fills so I love the fancy beers but in Vegas if I remember right some times I could get Sierra Nevada and or that brown beer both bulk but decent bottles. After 2 days of Hein-a-kins I just switches to whiskey.

Eagerly awaiting the many replies from the beer elitists who swear that anything less the General Von Heffenfoffer's Empirical Paint Can Ale is a step below hot dog water.

I've always wanted to sit at the bar at MSS and try some of there beers, but we usually go in, get parking validated and on to Fremont. Will have to stay for a bit this time around.

Miller Lite, but usually because most cocktail waitresses don't even know what kind of good beer they have. I was able to get a Sam Adams out of Bellagio once. I really need to go to Vegas with my own notes next time.

I definitely get down on the Microbrews at MSS though! They have a seasonal Hefeweizen that they had last time that I really liked but I can't remember the name. They had two kinds and this was the one that they did not serve all the time.

The porter at MSS is also great.

I am a beer geek and enjoy good beer. However I will drink whatever is available.

I usually stay at CET properties and the beer selection at the tables is weak. I usually order a Sam Adams. At the pool on a hot July day it is ice cold Coors Light. At a bar it is more than likely an IPA, pale ale or hefeweizen. In the colder months I enjoy a imperial stout, porter or a Belgian quad. I would not want to drink the stout or quad at a table or machine as I will be homeless drunk quickly.

We love to play VP at MSS and try all of the different Beers. They also do tasting flights in the restaurant (so you can try several at a time.

Otherwise, it kind of depends on what is on tap. Corona with lime, Blue Moon (without orange) or Newcastle are all favorites though.

This trip we have been talking about hitting Aces and Ales or the Yardhouse (somewhere with a large craft beer selection) to try some of the stuff it can be hard to get on the east coast.

I drink Guinness too. Coming over from Scotland and was worried it might not be as good in Vegas but by the sounds of it, it should be ok....

What would you recommend that is similar to this brew? I can't find this locally, but did see it at Shangy's in Emmaus, PA; a beer distributor who specializes in crafts and imports. It was $98 for a case of 24.
