Saw this in the Las Vegas Advisor, Today's News, Jan. 20... and I could not figure out which of the eating places is meant by this article... none that I know of is called "snack bar"... there website refers to Steakhouse, Deli, Cafe and Benny's Bullpen...Has anyone been there in the last few days or planning on going soon... and can tell me which one is the article referring to... my favorite for breakfast is the one referred to as "Binion's Cafe...

    • January 18, 2014 16:10 Binion's Snack Bar Closed: The east-side snack bar at Binion's is closed, apparently to create a new coffee shop. The west-side snack bar remains, but that one doesn't have a grill, leaving in doubt the fate of the famous Binion's hamburger. The great ham & beans is still served on the west side, though the price has been raised 50 cents to $4.95.

Judging from the pics at Vital Vegas here http://vitalvegas.com/favorite-casino-cafe-expanding-binions/, they are referring to Binion's Café (the grill pretty much in the center and your favorite breakfast place). It's kind of silly for LV Advisor to refer to it as the snack bar since there is nothing called snack bar at Binion's. All this east-side, west-side is just confusing. Why not just call them by their proper names?

I knew of the Steakhouse, the Café and the cigar bar called Benny's Bullpen but I can't recall ever seeing their Deli which is supposedly near the poker room.

I learn something new everyday on this board.

If I remember correctly, I saw somewhere that they relocated it to the closed restaurant space in the back until they finish work.

Thanks all for the replies and thank you Gambler for giving me a new place... Vital Vegas... to look for my Las Vegas fix. I am only able to gamble in Las Vegas between Christmas and New Years each year, but the rest of the year I hungrily read everything I can about Downtown Vegas. Like the rest of you, I have also puzzled why they ever closed the downstairs restaurant, it was great... especially their ham steak breakfast...yum yum!

The deli isn't very big but serves a very good corned beef sandwich. And yes, it is between the bar and the poker room.

I read on VC I believe, that they were talking about moving the cafe back downstairs, not sure what truth is in this. Anyone know how long this renovation will take? I will have fits if I can't have Binions a burger on this trip!
