We often walk by Carnival Court but have never stopped.

I see that they sometimes have live music - is there a cover? Is there a show schedule?

Can you bring in drinks from outside or only what you purchase there?

I see that sometimes they have a few gaming table - do you get free drinks while gaming there?

Tell me why you or why I should put it on the list for next time.

    Thanks!

Carnival Court is actually pretty cool. They have flair bartenders and live music in the evenings throughout the week. I have only been midweek but there was never a cover when I was there. I don't think you will get free drinks at the gaming tables but I could be wrong since I have never played there. I myself have brought in drinks from outside with no issues. Every time I go it seems people are laid back and easy to talk to. Lots of women in the mid-thirties to mid-forties.

I don't see any draw at all, I delberately use the other side of the street when I am walking the strip so I don't have to navigate through it.

In may '12, went to Vegas for my cousins wedding...they all walked down to Carnival Court...I said "I'm game!"...until we got to the "gate", and they said $10 cover! No way am I paying a cover to get in some place to pay triple price for drinks! (especially when they're FREE while gambling)
    I guess I'm just a cheapass.

Just show your diamond card and you'll get in free. Plus, you never pay for many drinks there. I'm usually leaving with a MILF in under an hour.

What's your secret formula for, you know, snagging all the MILFs?

No secret is needed. The place is filled with middle aged women looking to get laid. Just throw a little chum in the water and watch them attack.

Carnival Court is a draw due to the eclectic crowd, flair bartenders and great cover bands. If you get there early there is no cover and beer is recently priced. CC is popular with the 30 and over crowd, its not a kiddie hangout. During the summer you will see lots of people in there early straight from the pool wearing swimwear, cover ups etc during the day. Its a very casual relaxed atmosphere. I have had lots of good times there.

CC seems to be more lax during the day, but at night the cover charge has been hit and miss. I have never been allowed to bring a drink in at night, bouncer always stopped me. Drink prices higher than a casino bar due to the flair bartenders. Used to love the disco band they had there in the afternoons, do they still play?

music in the afternoon starts at 1 pm, in my experience. the afternoon bands may very well be 70s-80s-90s cover bands. there has never been an attempt to charge a cover then.

the cover must come later at night, with music also suited more for a younger crowd.

a couple of the bands that play in the afternoon, the spazmatics and the whip-its, might be dismissed as novelty bands because they have schticks, as a group of nerds and as a group of eastern european hipster emigres led by a dominatrix, respectively, but they can rock the place when they are playing.

throw five bucks in the bucket and get the spazmatics to play sweet child of mine, if you like that sort of stuff.

ask the lead singer of the whipits to punish you, if you like that sort of stuff.

Best flair bartenders in Vegas from what I've seen. Usually go early enough to where I've never paid a cover. You get a show whether it's a mixed drink or a simple beer. Great atmosphere. Last time some band from San Francisco asked me to join them at their table, so I partied for a few hours after there set with them. Always seems to be a really laid back crowd.

I agree with this assessment. I was leary about checking it out because I figured it was a bunch of rich kids and the hipsters that were drunk out of their gourd and acting like punks/drunken fools with fights..I WAS PLEASENTLY surprised ( now it was the late afternoon). Mixed crowd from barely legal drinking age ( if not younger) to the Harlan and Eunice grandparents type from Iowa having a BLAST.
The thing that ABSOLUTELY FLOORED me was the $$$$ the young bartender was making. I chatted with him after the "free shot rush" ( meaning sugary watery with the minimum of booze) at the end of the show. He said the $$$$ was PHENOMENAL, and the gals of all ages hitting on him and "fringe benefits" were even better.:evillaugh:evillaugh:wink2:.
Now was he BSing me????? maybe. But there was about 100 or so people clamoring for the "free drink" were duking him at least a buck or 2. So I am not sure how many shows they did...LET ALONE BUYING DRINKS before during and after the show ( as I and many others were dong) and it being center strip. And the "kid" COULDNT have been more than 25 and wasn't exactly an outcast from Duck Dynasty.. More like cut from the GQ fashion ad mold...So it was fun but I would have given my right arm to just being on the tip end from 1 of the shows and the potential "fringe benefits".. :nworthy:

Fun atmosphere. I lost my voice from talking to friends over the music. Twice. Once for 2 days I could not make a sound.

My husband and I spent a few hours there playing blackjack a year or two ago in the afternoon. We were comped drinks while we played at the tables. They do not credit your players card though. We had ordered a drink each before the tables were open and it was $18 bucks for a beer and a tequila sunrise.

It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
