It keeps getting harder to play tables at our level.

    We play 3 card poker = CET = $5 Ante, $5 Pair Plus, $5 Sucker Bet, + $5 to play the bet = $20 a round.

Or we play Pai Gow poker at $10 plus the $1 sucker bet if offered.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    1) Will this work at PHo, or do we need to walk?

    2) Will any of the CET properties rate our play at $20 per hand in 3 Card Poker, or at Pai Gow at $11?

    3) Reading on these forums, it has been mentioned that PHo thinks very highly of themselves and table minimum are higher compared to other CET properties.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

If no good at PHo, am I correct we can still find these at:

    Ballys
    Flamingo
    Osheas
    Quad

    THANKS

    1) I played at PH 12/20-24 (Holiday), 12/29-1/2 (NYE), and 1/8-1/12(Post CES). So take that into account. I saw $10 Paigow early am only. I never saw 3 card less than $10, but this was just a casual glance as I dont play this game often. As another example, I played Ultimate Texas Hold'em alot at PH. Minimum was $10 in am, $15 in the afternoon and $25 at night. $25 at this game is quite a lot for many people.
    2) They will take your card and say they are rating you. It would be interesting for you to check with the TR desk after and see if they did
    3) Yep

I also spent many hours at Bally's during this stretch and over the fall/summer. The table minimums are about 1 notch lower (i.e., If PH is $25, Ballys is $15 or PH at $15 then Bally's was $10)

It would be interesting to get some information on how table minimum are raised throughout the day. Are there set times? Do the pit bosses have discretion? Does the casino use discretion based on crowds or chip stacks at the current tables?

You'll probably have to walk up the strip a little to find the lower tables. Usually Flamingo, Quad and Harrah's is your best bet for low mins. There's a Pai Gow at Margarittaville that usually stays around $5 all day. I don't ever think I've seen it above $10. Plus the atmosphere is nice there.

$5 tables are going to be very rare at PHo.

They can be found at Flamingo and Ballys in the morning/early afternoon.

Paigow will be easier to find at $10 than other games at $5. If has been a while since I played at the Quad, but they used to have $10 paigow all the time.

I'm not an expert on 3 Card Poker, but I know finding $5 Let it Ride tables is difficult in the evenings on the strip. Bill's used to have them.

If you are interested in Blackjack, $10 tables can regularly be found even in the evenings around party pits. You have to be willing to accept 6/5 BJs.

$5 let it ride can be found at Margarittaville during the day and nights. I usually spend some time on that table.

OK, So to do our $100 3 card poker buy in, it will not happen at PHo

But unlike our last visit in 2011, it will not happen either at Bills (We loved that place). :drunk:

We hated the 3 Card vibe at Ballys. But the Flamingo Vibe was cool.

Never did the Margaritavlle (sp?) at Flamingo, so that is open, and...

O'Shea's is right next door!!!

Just sucks that our home base is going to be PHo ..... and they do not want our $100 buy in.

Soooo, for our "Once a Night" $100 3 Card poker has to be a walker... :Þ

    YET, THANKS EVERYONE

PHo has a relatively new Carnival game called High Card Flush and it is usually $5 minimum. It is a very fun and easy game to play. I usually only play UTH, but this game took the majority of my action this trip. I usually play $25 ante in UTH, but was playing $50 ante this trip. I happened to come across this High Card Flush game and after playing a few hands at $5, I quickly realized it was not going to be a roller coaster like UTH. I ended up fluctuating between $75 - $200 ante on this game. I was up more than $15k by the third day playing HCF, but by the end of my 2 week trip, I lost it all back...had a blast though!

I've gotta disagree with everyone here.

I've played 3 Card Poker in PH's Pleasure Pit for $5 MANY times. That's the only place I play the game.

Busiest nights it'll be $10, but the vast majority of the time it's $5.

They have $5 craps early. Then the least I saw was $15 at night.

When the Pleasure Pit is active you are lucky to see a $15 table available.

Maybe its the time of year you go but I tend to see the opposite.

This has been my experience as well. I do stay during the week, at quieter times, however. But 3-Card at PH has been $5 just about every single time I walk by, day or night. (This does add up to $15/$20 minimum per hand, as the OP notes.)

    Daytime minimums noted last month:

    PH
    3/2 Blackjack $15, 3-Card $5, LIR $10.

    Paris
    3/2 Blackjack $10 (goes up to $15 at night), 3-Card $5, LIR usually $10, $5 if slow

    Bally's
    3/2 Blackjack $10 (went up to $15 on a busy night), 3-Card $5, LIR $5

Blackjack, yes. 3CP, no. I've NEVER seen it for $15 at PH.

I don't think the time of the year matters. I was in Vegas 6 times last year and it's always the same.

Margaritaville has a $5 3-card table, with the 6-card bonus-bet. And the CW scenery adds an extra bonus!

This has been my experience as well... I only play 3CP at the $5 level, and we've not had any problems finding it, at night, at Harrah's, Ballys, PHo and Paris.
