So I was just browsing around on McCarrans website for the hell of it and I noticed they switched Allegiant from the D to the A gates. What did they do this for?

For some reason this bothers me, I liked the D gate, I liked the tram ride, I don't like change. And from looking at the map the A gates look like a ghost town compared to D.

It looks like there were 2 reasons for the move, with Allegiant the one who wanted to do it.
It basically sounds like Allegiant wanted to stream line their procedured. I imagine (don't know for sure) that it would be easier for gate agents to move between gates in that terminal than in D. I wouldn't be surprised if they also are able to do more branding for themselves since they are the only occupant of that terminal.

I thought it was great! Probably saved 10 minutes of walking and taking the tram. Gets you to the casino that much faster!

Now I'm SUPER pissed, no more Cinnabon either. For some reason I was thinking that was before security.

    I feel your pain man.

Alliegent is all about saving money (not for the customer, but for the company). The statement they released said it all: They operate more effiently by having shorter transport from planes to the baggage claims and to their maintenance facilities. If it saves 100.000 USD a year (probably even more), they will do it.

    End of story.

I wish United would move to a terminal without that stupid tram. I hate that thing.
