    My Trip Report

    Day 1:

My hubby and I had to work until 4 and head out to airport for our 7:15 flight. We got to the airport with couple hours to spare. We had dinner, hung out, and got on our southwest flight. I got a very good deal for our flights from portland for only $250 round trip for both of us using our rewards and sale back in November.

We got to Vegas half hour early! Awesome pilot :). I booked the Bell trans vip share ride for $56 round trip. We shared the ride with a nice older lady from NY. She is staying at Bally's as well. I must say, using the Bell trans vip was a much better experience then taking a cab. No worries about getting tunneled and our driver was funny.

Not too long after, we arrived. I have the TR credit card but i don't have the platinum TR yet. The desk was closed because it was 10 pm. I stood at the Platinum check in anyway. I had my TR credit card, a $20 tip, and my ID. The nice lady at front desk helped me, took my tip and started typing. I asked her for complimentary upgrade for Jubilee Tower. Originally we booked North/Indigo tower for $125 for all 3 nights.

She was typing away and told me she could gave me Jubilee Tower room with 2 queens instead of a King. Still a non smoking. We said that's fine. She also gave us view of Eiffel Tower & Bellagio fountain. score!

We went to our room on 17th floor. We were in awe with the view. Took pictures and went back down. We walked to Paris and shared a ham & cheese crepe fton La Crepe. It was very yummy.

After that, walked back to Bally's and decided to play slots.I'm not very impressed with slot selections at Bally's. I decided to try it anyway. I put $20 into Michael Jackson's machine. I got the Billie Jean bonus on the first spin. I cashed out at $40 and just slots hopping. I tried the Buffalo stampede and not liking it very much. I like the old buffalo better which i also played. I got Lois bonus round from family guy, monopoly bonus round but no real winning. Hubby won $36 from 40 cents bet on regular buffalo. He got 5 buffalos!

Overall, i lost my original $20 and we went back to our room at 12:30. We noticed we could hear Chateau's paris nightclub music from our room. I didn't mind it too much. We fell asleep just like that.

    Morning of Day 2

I woke up at 4 am. I went back to sleep until 6:30. I couldn't go back to sleep. I decided to went down. I lost a $20 in half an hour. No bonus from michael jackson, iron man, wizard of oz, or buffalo. I start feeling meh and missing staying at MLife properties. I guess we are gonna do that today ;).

The plan for today is, getting my platinum TR card, getting buffet of buffet passes, venture to mlife properties, eat buffets, and ghostbar tonight. We got on a vip list. Also for me to win some $$$$$.

    Day 2

Hubby finally woke up at 9 am. We got ready for the day and we were famished. I'm like Grumpy cat when I'm hungry. Top it off with losing $$$ on slot machines without getting fun bonus round, i was Mrs Crabby. Hub cheered me up by suggesting breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. We love that place. We got seated inside the glass house. I had Quiche and he had corned beef hashed. We ate, loved our meals, and no more crabby.

After breakfast, we walked to the north side with final destination Wynn. We stopped by Casino Royale, they had their heat on full blast. Wayyyy too hot for us and no $3 craps table on the weekend.

The temperature outside was soooo nice. In the 50s and sunny. Love love love. We got to the Wynn. We haven't been there since 2011, but I'm going to attend Posh convention (my home business) there in August so I want to give them some plays with hope for better rates.

They are having a Merry Go Round made with all flowers display. I posted a video of it on my instagram, if you want to check it out my username is the same as here. We were slot machines hopping. I won $60 on old Buffalo machine. Lost and win some on Monopoly, wheel of fortune, more buffalos, and cheeseburger machine. I got drunk on their Chocolate Martini. The best and strong one. However, i'm allergic to alcohol so I felt ichy, hot, and drunk from 1 drink!

We walked to Encore which is nice but the casino is dead. From there we walked to Venetian where i read they have some newer slot machines. I signed up for Grazie card and had so much fun playing the newer machines. They have Ferris Bueler, Footloose, Star trek, and lord of the rings two towers (which i don't think is newer but gave me fun bonuses). I love playing machines with fun bonuses even if i lost, i still get to play some.

We had lunch at Grand Lux. I had the salmon lunch plate and hub got enchilada lunch plate. I loved my food, it had fresh and crunchy veggies and the salmon is delicious.

Hub is having this bad allergic reaction to something in vegas air. He has stuffy nose and sneezing all the time. I suggested trying out the oxygen bar. We went to the one at venetian. $22 for 15-20 minutes and they gave us essential oil, massage us with their massage gadgets. It felt good and the girls were so nice. They let us stayed for 30 minutes and hub felt a bit better.

After that, i wanted to play the LOTR two towers again. I couldn't find the same machine! I managed to lost my winning from earlier on various machines.

Continue to part 2 day 2 in a second.

Day 2 : Absinthe tickets, Veronic Voices, & Le Village buffet

After venetian, we walked to Caesar Palace to checked out if Absinthe is giving out $20 off coupons. I've been wanting to see this show for a long time. We go there but didn't see anyone handing out coupons. I asked the ticket booth lady and she told us the guy was on break and we should wait. Not too long after, he came back and handed us 4 of $20 off coupons. We couldn't get tickets for last night 9:30 pm show, they only have single seats left. We got two tickets for tonight instead. Hub bought those tickets for us which was a surprise. I thought we were going to split the cost. He said it's his anniversary present for me. We got married last year on feb 21 in Vegas. This trip is kinda our anniversary trip since we can't go next month.

So now i have extra 2 Absinthe $20 off coupons, anyone in the US wants them let me know. I can mail it out at no charge :)

We walked back to our hotel and we got tickets to Veronic voices show. We used 50 % off coupons that came with our hotel stay coupons. Two tickets were $75 total and we got really good seats.

The show was amazing. She is such a good impressionist. She was spot on imitating Britney, Adele, Katy Perry, Dolly Parton, Cher, Aretha, and more. I wish we were standing up instead of sitting down. I wanted to dance. So much fun, high energy show, and she is funny too.

The show was at 7 pm. By the time it was done we were starving. It's time to activate the 2 free buffet of buffet passes that came with me signing up with total rewards credit card. They just added them to our rewards cards and told us the upcharge for Rio and Bacchanal.

We decided to eat at Le Village in Paris. We got there and got seated right away. It seems to me they have more than 4 different clam dishes. I like their split crab legs but they only serve it cold. We had the best waiter ever. He brought us a basket full of steam crab legs. We didn't even ask for it. So we ate tons of crab legs and desserts. Their desserts were superb.

After dinner, we supposed to go out clubbing, but my hubby didn't feel well. His allergy was so bad, his nose and face were red. We decided to play some slot at Paris instead. Big mistake. Again, tight slot machines with no bonus rounds. Lost my $20. I'm playing for fun and there are no fun to be had with CET slot machines. We went to bed at 11:30.

Today, breakfast with our friends who live here. We have tickets to Madame Tussaud from goldstar. Hoping for more slots in venetian. Dinner at bacchanal and absinthe.

Sorry your husband is not feeling well. I don't have allergies but my sinuses really do react to air that is low in humidity. I know when I stay at Harrahs at Tahoe I could not get by without asking for humidifier for my room. I am sure they are available at Bally's you just have to call housekeeping. I sleep with it on the nightstand so I am getting lots of good air all night!

    Day 3

We had brunch with our friends who live in Vegas. We met at Hash House A Go Go at The Quad. The casino had a really great face lift. We got married at the chapel there last year and it was not as pretty how it is now. Hub and I split the Meatloaf hash and we had a great time with our friends. They just got engaged in December and we just found out they are planning to get married this July! So we are going back to Vegas in July & also in August for a convention!

After brunch, we walked to The Venetian for Madame Tussaud. I forgot to grab our Goldstar.com print out and thought they could just accept the digital version. Nope. They needed hard copy printed out. We walked to inside venetian and tried to use the internet kiosk but they just ate our five dollars and the computer froze up.

We went to business center and managed to get lost. By the time we got there, I was cranky. Lucky, the guys who worked there are so nice. They just charged me a dollar to print out the voucher and used their computer. We walked all the way back to Madame Tussaud.

The museum was fun. I've been there before, but they have new wax figures since the last time. They also have the 4D Marvel show. It was fun, you will get a little wet, and got poked. I think it's worth it to get your tickets from groupon, travelzoo, or goldstar. We only paid $40 for both of us. Original cost is $29.95 per person.

After Madame Tussaud, hub was hungry. We decided to use our buffet of buffet pass at Flavors (Harrah's buffet). Our server was a bit weird. He asked if we wanted champagne or wine and we said no thank you. We stick with water and tea. He flat out told us that we were no fun. Hub kinda got mad. The food was nothing special. Everything were dry and the best part is the dessert station. The cupcake was alright and the fruits were fresh.

It was interesting that they took our picture before we entered the buffet and tried to sell us those pictures for $20!!! I don't know who want to buy picture of themselves in front of a buffet for that price.

Afterwards, we decided to go to Bellagio and played a little. I won $80 from various machines. It's great to be back at MLife property. Their slot machines are always fun and give out bonus rounds. We stayed there until it's time to go to Bacchanal buffet.

We got there and excited to see there's a special line for Platinum with diamond & Seven Stars. We paid the $20 per person extra on top of the buffet & buffet passes price. They took our pictures before we enter the buffet. Again, I'm not understanding this whole concept.

This buffet is clearly the best buffet in Vegas. Believe the hype and jump on the bandwagon. Their crab legs were delicious. Their shrimps were so fresh and plumps. I love their Asian offerings as well. Peking Duck, bbq pork were all yummy. Dessert section was amazing as well, however I think I still like Wicked Spoon's dessert better.

After we stuffed ourselves silly, we played some slot at Caesar's. The only CET property that gave us bonus rounds. After that, we waited for Absinthe 9:30 pm show.

Absinthe is AMAZING. The best show in Vegas hands down. Well worth the admission price. It's raunchy, inappropriate, funny, crazy good, incredible, and my mouth was opened the whole show!

I was thankful for hubby to get us our tickets. They are definitely worth the splurge.

After Absinthe, we went back to our hotel and managed to lost all the money that I won earlier in the day on Bally's slot machines. We went to bed about 12:30 and Day 4 is our last day!

    DAY 4 bye bye Vegas

I always dreaded the going home day. I didn't want our mini vacation to end. We woke up, checked out, paid most of the bills with my credits, and went to Sugar Factory. I bought groupon for their lunch and I regretted it. Our server was grumpy. Food was just meh. The price is really expensive. $21 for Spaghetti with Chicken?? Yes that's correct.

When we got our check, I noticed there's another charge besides tax. I asked the server and she told us it's a franchise fee. So yes, they will charge you fee for your meal as well. Before groupon our total for 2 meals + 2 coffees = $59. After groupon was $19. It's worth it if you have groupon, but if not, don't bother. Mon Ami Gabi is a way better choice.

After lunch, we when to PH walking around and went back to the hotel around 12:40. Our Bell Trans VIP share ride should pick us up at 1 pm. I was surprised to see what showed up. It was a stretch limo just for the two of us. Nobody else coming from Bally's.

We got to the airport earlier than expected. TSA check in was a breeze. I played slot machines there and managed to spent only $10. Our plane was on time and we got home last night at 6 pm. I miss Vegas all the time and it's exciting that this year we might be able to make more than couple trips. Thank you for reading!!!

You don't actually believe that the slot machines at MGM properties are somehow programmed to give out more bonus rounds than the machines at CET, do you?

Can anyone explain what a "franchise fee" is? Not like you are buying an NFL team...it's just lunch!

It just seems like it. I don't know if they programmed it differently or not, but every time I play at other properties besides CET's...it gives out more bonus rounds. Let's just say per $20 I spent on a CET machine = 0 bonus round. AT other casinos besides CET $20 will get me at least 1 bonus round.

I'm not sure either, but I think because they are not part of the casino. We got charged $2.58 for $58 bill and then tax and tip.

Harrah's Buffet is now taking photos and trying to sell them as you leave?! That is hilarious.

Are any other places in town doing this?

I heard of pics being taken during before Gondola ride, Eiffel tower, etc., but never buffets. That just seems odd to me.

Yes for the Flavors harrah's buffet, they asked you to hold their giant spoon & fork. They took your pic and they tried to sell them to you while you were eating. They already printed it out and in a paper frame. $20 for a pic! They also do it at the Bacchanal buffet. Same thing but they changed the background to Las Vegas background. Same price and I feel bad they wasted so much paper!!!

Everywhere in Vegas seems to be jumping on the photo op wagon, we noticed that back in Sept. We bought our roller coaster one, but that was it. It was a horribly funny pic we had to! They took one before XBurlesque, itwas great, but wasn't about to buy another one... I wonder if you offered them $10 if they'd take it..not like anyone else would buy it so they would just toss them, right?
