Okay for CET Total Rewards members what's the worst comp offer you have seen? This new one popped in my box today, and has to be the suckiest I have seen my entire membership.
Come to the Diamond Lounge for an Evening of Dancing with the Hosts.

There has to be a catch to the offer there. Each host has a variable amount of free play on them, you pick your dancing "partner" and they give you the free play....Right? RIGHT????

NO ONE WOULD HANG OUT IN TNE DIAMOND LOUNGE DANCING WITH HOSTS!!!!

They should let their marketing gurus out into the fresh air from time to time. What lame brain came up with this idea?

This is truly hilarious, but they just throw everything at you to see what sticks. I have my choice of $1000 free play and a 5 night stay at Caesars Palace or a free bingo tournament at the Quad. Whatever works.

Even funnier, they send you a million surveys, which I duly fill out, asking you about your likes and preferences. Then they send a million offers for things I have told them I am not interested in. Total Rewards does not work quite as well as Gary Loveman thinks it does, but it does get people through the door.

Based on the picture, you don't have a host with a big crush on you. For some odd reason, I don't attract them, either.

You ought to try being Gold. We regularly have the opportunity to drive forty miles to a crappy racino in a dumpy neighborhood and play shitty games with $5 free play.

Do you have to use 1000 points to get in the Diamond lounge for that privilege to dance with a host?

Well you got us beat, we both got an entry into a March slot tourney at Paris. That's it just an entry, no nothing else unless you count the "discounted" room rate that is a little over twice as much as I can book it for when viewing my rate calendar.

It's a 100% percent real! If I get a mailer on it, I will post it on this thread.

I stripped off the offer code to protect the innocent, not to mention I don't want anyone on this board, bogarding the offer.:evillaugh

Stunningly, beyond the pale stupid. I wonder how the hosts feel about this offer? Also, is CET assuming that everyone is heterosexual and would like to dance with someone of the opposite gender?

I had no doubt it was. How crazy! I need to ask my host if she will be there. I think I would like a dance with her.

I think it may be more meant for some of the older players. Maybe those whose partners have passed. I think some of them might like very much to hang out with a bunch of younger people who will be very friendly. I would think the dancing to which the offer refers is a more formal type of dancing, not modern club dancing, which indicates classic big band or some other music like that. Add in free drinks and probably a better selection of appetizers than normally in the Diamond lounge and it sounds like "a hot time on the old town tonight..."

    Just a thought.

I would think it's actually more of a schmooze fest than actual dancing. Betting there will be some give-aways as well.

Just ran into this problem myself. But I am Gold, so there you go!

Anyhow, their comp room was crap (but can you blame them), when compared to the upgrade I booked through their calendar, along with their current promo offer = near the same price, but much better room for just a few dollars more.

Then keep looking and will likely find even a better price in the next few months before our trip and do the cancel / rebook thing.

As far as the GOLD card level room comp of, a room next to the elevator and ice machine looking at the rooftop at eye level, no Thanks! :evillaugh

I know, I know, gamble larger, get better comps. But the gambling rules and conditions do not entice us to gamble larger.

Opps, this is a hijacking of this thread! Time to stop the rant and click Submit.

    Sorry! :nono:

HS Cincy has a nice Diamond Lounge, but not nice enough for me to want to spend 90 minutes with the hosts. I like the casino there too since its completely non smoking.

Unfortunately no free play for the date of offer, so I most definitely am going to pass.

We've gotten offers like that from Joliet but not quite Dancing with the Hosts. Usually the snail mail version has more details like a gift for going. I'm guessing this is a take on Dancing with the Stars and you get to help judge the winner. I'd look for a mail offer or call for more info.
