What hotel/restaurant/entertainment activity is on your list to try next? What is the draw?

    Main Street Station:
To gamble/explore. Never stepped foot in the place and it sounds cool.

Jeff Civillico Show at the Quad:
Hoping to take my kids to this on our upcoming trip.

    Love at the Mirage:
I've never seen a Cirque show and hope to go to this with my wife two trips from now.

    Neon Boneyard:
Mostly the appeal is getting some cool pictures, although I'm sure every photo imaginable has already been shot there.

    Stay at Wynn/Encore:
Probably not going to happen anytime soon, but I'd love to try it.

    Red Rock Canyon:
Sounds like a good excursion and I've already done Valley of Fire, which was very cool.

    Go to a nightclub:
Partly inspired by your (sco5123) last TR, I'm telling myself I'm not too old for a night at Light!

    Hotel: Cosmo & Palazzo

Both of these are coming to fruition thanks to offers received recently. I will be staying at Palazzo over SB Weekend and Cosmo for the first part of March Madness (and then reverting to Palazzo for the final three days of the tourney).

I have stayed at Venetian before but want to check out Palazzo now too.

I know Cosmo has a rep of being hipster central but I love the layout of the place and I am eager to try the rooms there.

    Restaurants: Carnevino, Cut & Rao's

These may have to wait until me and my girlfriend go...so I am not sure if any of these will get hit on the next trips as both are going to be with my friends...and when we do Vegas its usually quick eats at pizza and burger joints as not to interrupt the flow of booze and degeneracy.

Shows: Absinthe, Kevin James & Ray Romano & Chazz Palminteri's 'A Bronx Tale

My friends and I will likely hit Absinthe over SB Weekend and then I need to try to get to town to see James & Romano at the Mirage...in all my previous trips the days haven't lined up. I've been a big fan of both (despite James being a Mets fan).

A Bronx Tale is a must see for me. I love that movie. But I could not make it to town when Chazz was doing it frequently. I hope he brings it back and when he does...I am there.

Miscellaneous: Indoor skydiving, Hoover Dam & go shoot some exotic weapons at the firing range

PS - sco...you always post thought provoking and good threads!

I was doing a good job of switching things up each trip, however the last couple years since I have been going so often I have been chasing the good deals.

On my list of places to stay are:

MGM Grand- I would love to stay and check out the pool and the new restaurants and clubs.

Mandalay Bay- Another property that attracts me because of its great atmosphere and epic pool scene.

But for now as long as Luxor keeps tempting me with free rooms and $26 weekends, you can find me in the pyramid!

Would love to stay at the Wynn...just once (CET just keeps making our trips inexpensive with free rooms & food but can "wish") Cosmo is also on our list....

Want to try the new buffet at Caesars next trip....don't care about the up-charge.....must experience it....

Visit some of the Casino's off strip..... Green Valley (since we watched the show a few years ago) & The M

Go to the Grand Canyon or Red Rock....something different to do....

See LOVE....AGAIN.... we are children of the 60's and experience the British Invasion.....love the Beatles!

Stay at the Wynn in an upscale room.

Try a steak house. Want to see what could justify a price of $100 for a porterhouse.

Try a high price hooker to see what they could possible be doing differently. :wink2:

I try to work in a little something new on every trip that is at least three nights long. Next week, I will try Jean Georges for the first time

I was really turned off by CityCenter's casino last time I went but I think I'd like to try one of their restaurants. Seems as though they have gotten really good reviews, American Fish in particular.

I want to try high-end places, primarily Bellagio or Wynn, maybe Venetian. But The problem is I'll feel I need to "dress up" all the time I'm there.

I'm a Downtown guy, I dress very casually, but once in a while I like to visit and dine at higher end establishments. I'm one of those traditional thinkers, meaning if I go to a nice steak house, or restaurant, or casino, I should at least try to dress a little more appropriately. Certainly not tuxedo or suit, but at least collar shirt and nice slacks and shoes.

When I'm at the Cal., Fremont, or at MSS I'll usually walk around with a nice t-shirt, shorts or jeans and thongs on my feet. I would feel "out of place" if I were at the high-end places so that's why I'm reluctant to stay there.

Maybe it's just me, I am a little self-conscious in public. Once in a while I dream of staying at nicer places, but actually feel more comfortable at the middle and low-end, even though I can afford to stay at the high-end.

Grand plans but may fall back to old habits

There’s a long list of things I intend to try for the 1st time during my next visit. Time will tell how many I actually accomplish vs. my usual habit of slots/craps/cards for 18 hours a day. Desire is to stretch the budget during a trip twice as long as normal:

    1. Red Rock Canyon electric bike tour – only seen the area from the plane, this looks like a blast (www.redebike.com)

    2. Helicopter tour of Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and strip at night – I see them flying around all the time, must be something to it.

    3. New “Pawn Shop Live” Pawn Stars parody show starting at Golden Nugget later this month – I’ve been a fan of the show for a long time, so it’s worth checking out.

    4. Clark County Museum – looks like there’s a direct bus from Downtown that takes about 45 minutes, looks interesting.

    5. Sample whatever new beers and beer joints are open downtown (Plaza Beer Garden, Bangers) and then once I can barely stand, try Slotzilla.

    6. Pinball Hall of Fame looks like a good time for couple of hours, as so much of my youth was spent (wasted?) in arcades.

    7. Other options may include the Mob Museum, Raiding the Rock Vault show at LVH, and Mike Hammer Comedy at 4 Queens.

If I get half of this list checked off I’ll consider my “new adventures” mission a success.

    Cheers and good luck!
