A couple big hits

Not really a trip report, but wanted to share a couple big hits from my last Biloxi trip. I decided I needed to rack up 2500 CET points (you get 5000 more bonus points if you get 2500 in a day) to get to Diamond, so I sat down at the $5 slots and spun $10 a time. Finally got my first hand pay, though the 2-1/2 hour session was still $1300 down! (See fuzzy picture, any 7+7+7 was 40 coins, triple * triple = 9x = 360 coins = $1800.)

Got the Diamond status, though, and the free rooms should be pretty much a lock.

Also, playing Mississippi Stud, I was feeling rich starting at a $25 ante. I'm holding two fours so 3rd street bet is 3x=$75 (correct strategy, btw). I see the 3rd four on the next card so $75, $75 on 4th and 5th street now that I'm guaranteed trips. And the very next card is the last four!!! I jumped out of my chair.

40 to 1 = $10,000 right there! I made that my last hand and I walked away with the stack of purples. Only cashed in $7500 of it and did the rest the next day. See pic.

Nice stud hit! It's nice to catch it on the small pair, when you triple up. It's really nice to pull the quads.

When I triple up like that, most people are waiting for me to triple up the rest of the spots. Nope. Need to see a card.

BTW, did they take your license to fill out anything on that hit?

 

No, no tax forms on the $10,000 because the odds are only 40 to 1. On table games, the payout has to be at least $600 AND odds of at least 300 to 1. Only the Royal Flush at 500 to 1 would be a tax form.

They asked for my player's card at the cage when I cashed in the $7500, but I think they just like to verify that the table actually paid those purple chips out; nothing to do with taxes. No problems cashing the rest of the purples the next day.

 

Well I hit quads for 14k with $35 bet (quad miss stud), and they took my license (pit), but I never got anything either yet. Cage also wanted the player card, which I expected. I was just curious about why they needed my license.
