Best casino for steak?

My favorite steak house has to be the CUT at Palazzo. Are there recommendations for casinos to get a premium steak, preferababley filet mignon?

 

I have no other reason to be in the property, but I LOVE the Steakhouse @ Circus Circus!

I better plug Hard Rock's 35 Steak's and Martini's as well, I had a bone-in (what a difference it makes) Filet Minion there, twice, that's incredible! There's also a waitress there that I'm going to marry in my next life!

 

While not in the actual casino there is a GREAT steakhouse right across third street (15 second walk) from the DTG called Triple George. Very nice atmosphere, Guinness on tap and outstanding big luscious cuts of beef. If you go downtown I highly recommend it.

 

Hands down, GRSteak at the Paris....

+1 for the Steakhouse. Great food, history and atmosphere.

 

SW is great. I did not have filet mignon but the overall meal was excellent.

 

Country Club at Wynn.

Also...hub had the filet special on our last visit to Sinatra at Encore and he thought it was sublime.

 

Are we considering value plays???? If so Ellis Island and Hard Rock come to mind.

 

Cut is about as good as any of the top vegas steakhouses. My personal favourite is SW at the Wynn so thats my recommendation.

I havent been to Ellis Island in a few years but i doubt they serve premium steaks. Had some decent ribs and steak and egg breakfast in the past. Its a decent value for the price but pretty far from a good premium steak.

 

I had the 40-oz. Porterhouse at SW back in October. Biggest, bloodiest, most succulent slab of meat I've ever had in my life.

 

OP...since you specifically asked about a Filet...I will recommend Brand Steakhouse, Monte Carlo. I have never been a fan of Brand have tried it 3 times before this last time. I gave it another try and had the Brooklyn Filet which is a 12oz bone in Filet. It was one of the best steaks I have had (yes I have been to all the very high end places in Vegas). As far as a Filet goes, this beat them all.

With this said as for Brands other steaks (i.e. Tomahawk Ribeye or Sirloin) and/prime rib, I would not recommend but the Brooklyn Filet was very tasty. The sides are huge at Brand also, recommend the Baked Potato (loaded), as well as the mushrooms and mashed potatoes, mac & cheese is also good.

 

I second that! Try the smoked wild mushrooms as a side. Amazing! Coupled with the bone in filet this was one of the best steaks I had on my recent two week trip.

A value play: the Cafe at Monte Carlo, on a scale of 1 to 10 is a solid C-. Awfully overpriced for mediocre food. BUT with your bill you get a 20% off Brand Coupon, good for hotel guests. That made my meal a bit more enjoyable, even though I'm on expenses!

 

Thanks for the recommendations. I will probably try SW at Wynn and maybe the Brand at MC. I was thinking about Prime at Bellagio too. I'll be spending 2 nights in Vegas so I can visit 2 steak houses.

Not to hijack this thread, but...
Bone in Fillet? Why does anyone accept that a fillet can have a bone anyway.
Would you accept a fish with bones and still call it a a fillet, or would you send it back?

 

I'm guessin' you're making a "funny" and not serious? I'm no steak expert, but I'm told the bone adds flavor. The bone was along the side of it, still attached, and in no way impeded the eating of the steak like bones in fish do. I also used to think buying bone-in rib-eyes was a waste (why pay extra for the bone), until I tried one... wow!

The funny part about the term bone-in filet is that a filet is, by definition, a boneless cut of meat. Agreed though that the bone adds flavor, it's just weird terminology.

We went to Brand last time because my gf had a MyVegas reward and I didn't have high expectations based on reviews I read here. But that meal blew me away. Probably some of the best steak and sides I've had in Vegas. I went with the Tomahawk Ribeye based on the servers suggestion (it's also their most popular choice on yelp).
