Ill be staying at Cosmo for the first time. Any tips?

What is the parking situation like?

We'll be arriving late so what are some late night dining recommendations? I remember reading about a secret pizza place but also heard it's expensive for what you get. Thoughts?

I apparently have a regular terrace room...is there any chance of getting a fountain view without being charged more (midweek trip) or should I just pay the extra $30/night ahead of time to get it?

How big is the tub in the room? Comfortable enough for 2?

How is the video poker? What are the minimums to be fully comped at the bars?

I'm sure ill think of more questions. Thanks in advance!

There is another recent tread about Cosmo advice for a first timer that you should check out. Pizza place is good for a cheap snack and Holstein has great burgers and shakes (some great wings as well). China Poblano and Jaleo for tapas and drinks. But i can pretty much recommend all other restaurants as well as they are all pretty solid.
As far as room goes i would book the fountain view, its worth every penny and since you are getting in late i would book it in advance.

If you like VP, there are some fun bars (although with admittedly sucky paytables) to play and have drinks. We've never had any issue getting drinks comped playing quarters max bet, and they will make some really great specialty cocktails for you. My personal favorite spot is the Queue bar, I like the bartenders there. Book and Stage is great too.

Ask to stay in the Tower nearest the Check In not so noisy. Sometimes the $20 at check in works for a fountain view. If not get the upgrade high up it's well worth it if it's your first time there. Go into the parking lot off Harmon. The parking is a bit tight, if you go to 3rd or 4th level should be able to get close to elevator brings you right up to Check In. VP not so great but environment is comfortable. The Wicked Spoon Buffet is well worth a visit, make sure you try it when it's busy the food is good and interesting. We usually go for lunch. If you have a Harrahs Diamond Card or above or equivalent the slot club should upgrade you to Gold Level. There's also an offer for $100 reimbursement if you loose $100 on slots. Always double check with slot club your points and for any offers they are a bit secretive!!
Good Luck, the Cosmo is one of our favorite casinos to stay.

Thanks for the Great tips Geriatric Gambler.

I've been reading mixed things about the east vs west tower. I like that the West tower seems closer to the parking garage but the view seems to be obstructed by the East tower, which is closer to the strip.

No the views are not obstructed by the east tower since the views you are getting is facing north(fountain) or south. If you are staying in a wraparound then it comes in effect since you are getting views to either east or west as well, imo its best to stay in east tower on the east side of the building facing north if staying in a wraparound. Otherwise the wise views are great from both buildings.

East tower is closer to the strip and pretty much gives u direct access and is closer to most of the restaurants and bars as well. The west tower is were you check in, the buffet and vesper bar is located there as well.
