Got back yesterday, stopped in Flamingo to watch end of Packers/Cowboys game (Go Pack). Played a little VP while watching game, hit 2 4A w/kicker and then a Royal Flush, all at the .25 level. Woooo hooo. Thanks Flamingo!

Congrats! what a great 2nd half comeback also!

You mention the kicker so I assume you were playing DDB. What was the paytable?

I would be happy with a crappy paytable if I hit what this guy did.

After all, a 100% game and not hitting those wins would pay out way less. And, based on my experience playing at the bar there, he probably got pretty good drink service, and got to watch the game.

I wasn't being critical, just asking out of curiosity. I rarely play on the Strip.

Yup, it was DDB. I believe it was 8/5 DDB. Not the greatest, but it worked for me that day.

I know the paytables are crap and the bar is kind of beat, but man I just love Bugsy's Bar. The bartenders are great - a bit of trivia: We were talking to one guy on our last visit and he said with like, 17 years, he was the person at that bar with the LEAST amount of seniority!

It's just become one of those "must do" things for us, spending a couple hours playing and drinking at Bugsy's. Can't wait to go back this weekend.

By the title I thought they may have loosened the paytable too. But at least it's still 8/5 I guess. Nice hit!

    That's GREAT!

I had a good machine last week at the Hard Rock, though not my "usual" machine (someone else had the audacity to be sitting at it), it was still at the Luxe Bar, which is my "spot". I sat down put $200 into one of the multi-game bar tops and selected .25 DB (I'm sure it was 8/5 as well). I proceeded to hit a 4OAK on the second hand and then another one about 20 hands in. I had lots of full houses and flushes as well... In fact, I've never had such a nice run on a machine. I played for three hours, had many cocktails... no Royal, but did have 2 more 4OAK's.

I cashed out at $100. Every time I'd get up, I'd increase to .50 level and then $1, which would chew it all up, so I'd drop back down to .25 level and then hit something again. Easily the most fun I've ever had on a machine, except the time I hit the Royal.

BTW... I won't play extended periods (grind) on a bad payable machine, but am of the opinion you can get "lucky" on any of 'em.

Besides the great VP, the girls there are also very attractive & friendly.

It must be my good looks because many of them were offering some amazing favors, including massages, back rubs, etc. It was almost like a buffet so to speak - and I did go back for seconds and thirds.

Funny, because all of the girls back home here aren't so friendly - strange.
