Good god it's freezing outside, right now its -25 and they're saying its gonna get to -30 later tonight and -50 with windchill. My balls have been the size of mini marshmallows all week. At least next week will be in the 40's, gonna feel like summer then. Who else is enjoying this lovely weather?

Makes the 12 degrees I was just out in with the dog sound warm. Don't tell that to my barefeet/legs and arms though.

    -30? Hell no.

Even in Central TX it's 27, which I know isn't bad compared to a lot of places but is way cold for us. Where on earth are you that it's -25??

For me, anything below about 20F feels the same - it's just cold. The air gets pretty dry and it gets hard to judge how cold it is. It's the wind that becomes an issue. If the wind is not blowing, it really does not seem very cold at all.

Get a good set of thermal underwear. My wife prefers Cuddl Duds. They really do make Winter cold spells tolerable. When worn under your regular clothing, you don't need much else on. I'll literally go out with just a light jacket some days (or a sport coat for work) if I've got my thermals on.

Hit 60 here a couple of days this week

Played some golf ,hung all the lights and wreath outside but it is gonna get colder ,maybe some snow changing to rain.
Winter can go either way here ,Super Bowl in Jersey this year ,forget the warm weekend ,people who go may get a break but I wouldnt count on it .

After being snowed in the house for three days (30 inches of snow), I am finally plowed out. However, a high predicted of zero with wind chills of around -25 to -30. Hard to blame the dog for not wanting to go out to take care of business.

Just a funny...when we lived in Vegas and it was 100+ we would open the back door to let the dog out and she would turn around and run back in w/o taking care of business. Then we would have to force her out.

Even though it was below zero this AM she was out there romping around. Me, not so much.

I think the long range winter forecast calls for a "colder" than normal winter for most of the country.

So, we all better get ready. It can only get worse.
