    Mapquest will answer the question.

Now half the fun, actually more, of getting to Winslow is seeing the sights and visiting various sites along the way or in the 'hood: Flag, Walnut Canyon, Tuzigoot, Sunset Crater, painted desert and Petrified Forest NP, hell, even the big hole of the meteor crater. Loop back through the BIG hole place, maybe detour to Sedona.

I just love the Colorado Plateau!!!

We drove through Winslow about 20 years ago and both had a brainfart. Why does that sound so familiar? I think it took another 30 miles before we said, oh, of course.:poke:

I was in a rock band in Phoenix AZ -
    when that song hit.
    I hitched-hiked w/ my sister's best friend -
to the Navajo Resv. in the NE corner of the state.
    ( She got a teaching job on the resv + I didn't
    want her to hitch-hike alone.)
Got a ride from a Navajo family at the entrance to the resv -
jumped into the back of their pickup - as the sun was setting.
    Beautiful memory !:nworthy:
    On my way back ---
I found myself "standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona "
I got a smile on my face - as I stood there - thinking of
    those famous lyrics.
The place was a ghost town.
I don't remember seeing anyone --- and certainly no
    "girl in a flatbed Ford......."

Straight drive, 4 1/2 to 5 hours. It's closer to 5, assuming you stop once and / or get slowed down a bit on the drive from Kingman to Flagstaff. Like Kev said prior, there are lots of things to do along the way (and Winslow is a bit underwhelming).
