A general question here, but can users add to this list concerning TV's and in room HD.
I have noticed that very few web sites indicate if the have LCD TV's, HD signal, etc. Example, THEHotel say they have 42" plasma TV's, but fail to mention they only have analog signal.
Here are the rooms I have stayed at adn TV size

Cosmopolitan, 42" and 46" LCD TV's with HD (probably best in Vegas, Channel lineup and shows, similar to Directtv)

Wynn and Encore 42 or 46" HDTV (has a channel and show lineup)

    Aria 42" HDTV (slower system)

Palazzo 42" and 37" HDTV (no show lineup, just channel listing)

Mandalay Bay 42" HDTV (I think they have HD signal)

PH 42" plasma (some HD TV)

TI 37" TV, no HD and tv's are small

Main Street Station has 42" with HD in all there rooms since they switched to Cox Cable.
But...only some of the TVs in the bar areas are HD, even in the same bar.

Hard Rock (HRH Tower) has two-(2) 40" Sonys in each suite (one in the sitting area and one on the bedroom side). I'm guessin' there's 30 channels or so, maybe a few more and 8-10 are HD.

Sure, we watch some tv while in Vegas. But it has very little with our hotel selection. Actually, zero to do with hotel selection. It does impact our overall visit level of satisfaction after the fact.

Okay, I will add this: Last visit to Paris we noticed that some of the channels were crappy. Poor signal I guess.

For us it's ESPN & local weather before we head out in the morning and then probably more ESPN with a night cap at the end of the day. HD makes the lower third crawl much easier to read on ESPN.

I'll definitely catch Sportscenter before hitting the sack or when I get up and then some local/national news before I head out for the day. I do notice a wide variety between casinos in terms of channel selection.

TV is not important to me in Vegas but it is to my husband. He is the biggest Nascar fan alive and we were in Vegas the weekend of our home race in Texas. We were staying at the Elara and had 3 TV's including that big 8 ft. projection TV. He was VERY HAPPY until 14 laps before the end of the race, the cable on all 3 went out. OMG!!! You would have thought the end of the world hit. Yes, fun times in Vegas!!!

I always have my TV on when I wake up, shower and get ready and right before I go to sleep, but to be honest, other than my Flamingo Go Room in 2008, I can't for sure remember any specifics.

I would never judge my hotel selection by the tv set up, but to be honest, a good picture, a decent channel line-up and remotes that work is a plus.

Mgm has HD channels. I would guess 40 inch lcd in the basic grand tower rooms.

The same reason you have liquor in your room or, hell, have a nice room at all.

Interesting thread. While I don't go to vegas to watch tv, it's always nice when you want to relax or when you wake up at 4am the first morning, coming from the east coast.

    Some additions:

The Quad (old imperial palace) had 19" CRTs with subpoor signal in many rooms. No HD of course. I'm sure they are upgrading.

The mirage has 42" (or perhaps 37") LCD in their regular rooms. Some HD channels but not a huge selection. It upsets me when I see them playing BeIN sport at the tables downstairs and they can't offer this in the room.

First time I stayed at the Wynn they had the TV on when I got to my room with the channel where Steve talks about the amenities. I had a lot of delays getting there and hearing Steve's voice got the vacation back on track.

Steve should make a relaxation app. If you're anxious and can't sleep just listen to him talk and you'll be relaxed in no time.
