Haven't seen this discussed: Can you use your MLife Express Comps to pay a hotel bill for someone else?

The short answer is: probably. If you are there also, just get your friend's room in your name and then pay for it with EC at checkout. I have done that multiple times. If you are not at the same hotel, it may be more difficult. If you have a host at the property, call him or her and see what they recommend

You can check in with your credit card, or his.

Sometime before checkout, go to desk and say you want to pay the bill using your express comps.

Just used my express comps to buy my sister and BIL dinner at Serrano's as they are staying at Aria. Contacted my host and she made it happen.....easy peasy And unfortunately, I am no where even near Las Vegas right now.

Should have added that I contacted my Aria host who took care of it. Not sure if I could have used my Aria host for a Bellagio restaurant.....but since everyone is at Aria, it was easy to do.

I asked a similar question awhile back and a couple responses indicated that using Express Comps for someone else when you're not actually there to earn credits for playing will probably lower your theo. Apparently using the ECs counts as a trip and therefore your no-play "trip" may affect your future comps. Here's the thread I'm referring to: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93892

Generally, activity gets their system going.

While getting ready for a trip, a host got us show tickets, about 4 weeks before our trip. During our stay, I was asking about primary comps. He could not figure it out and then asked my about my zero play visit the month before. Turns out the ticket request/issue caused a "trip".

    Be warned.
