I once read a while back that Bally's in redoing it's Steak Restaurant where the Sterling Brunch is held. But I also thought I read that the Sterling Brunch is staying....anyone know what is happing for sure.

I did make a res online through Open Table for mid April but who know for sure if it will be still running...

    Thanks for your time..

Bally's steakhouse has posted a Thanksgiving menu, so I would think it would be open through at least then.

My wife and I had brunch on Nov. 10th and talked with our server, Duff. He said that when the new ownership group comes in that the Sunday brunch will continue, but will likely have some changes incorporated into the brunch. Hopefully not too many...

I have to make sure I go before they close for the changeover.

Unfortunately, I don't think the nice champagne and the caviar will be retained when it reopens. I bet they keep the lobster, but serve a lesser quality champagne and caviar. Maybe even drop the price down around $70-$75 to complete with Wynn's Jazz Brunch.

If I was the new owner, I wouldn't want to run a buffet known for a premium name brand champagne and copious amounts of sturgeon caviar. It just makes it more difficult if the cost of these items increase or becomes more difficult to source. I'd use this opportunity to completely rebrand the brunch into something more foolproof with more leeway for changes down the road.

    FYI
I just spoke with Bally's today 11-30-2013 and they have no set dates for the closing/remodel We are planning on attending 1-5-2014 and they say there is available seating.

I've heard in blogs that the closing won't be until after the SB. As for the future quality, we'll see. Maybe it's me but it sounded as if the brunch wasn't totally an event run by Heritage Steak but more like something run by Ballys in that space.

Just got a call today canceling my Feb 16 reservation. The last day is Feb 2. They told me they will be closed for at least 4 months, and they are not sure what format it will take upon return, but they will probably offer it twice a week instead of just on Sundays.

That's a bummer......did you book through Open Table or direct with the restaurant/casino....We are booked for mid April so I guess that's off....we booked through open table and have not be notified yet.

We will have to find another premium buffet...maybe back to Jasmine again....but Sterling was much better.

    Wow.

I was supposed to go last November but didn't.

I'm hitting Vegas in June so maybe it'll be the same then....

I booked through Opentable. As soon as I hung up the phone I got an email from Opentable stating the restaurant had canceled my reservation.

I did the opposite.....booked it online through Open Table and got a confirmation of my reservations via email....maybe they just haven't go to me yet. Either way I will be making another ressy so where else just in case Sterling is still closed in April.

Any recommendations from anyone here......it will be Easter Sunday so I want something special...and I prefer NOT to stand in a buffet line.

Glad I went with my youngest son last year! This was a splurge for me. They should steam the lobster instead of roasting it.

This is CET, people. They will cheapen it up like they always do, hope nobody will notice, then be surprised that nobody wants to pay for a mediocre product. They will probably go to a California sparkling wine worth $5 a bottle and keep the price about the same, stripping all of the value out of the experience.

Another thought--Wynn has a hotel full of people in the market for a high priced brunch. Ballys does not. Those eating at the sterling brunch are making a special trip to go there--if the quality goes they just won't bother.

Does Wynn have a high quality brunch similar to the Sterling Brunch ?

If so I might give it a try............anyone tried it ?

I hope it's at the same level as Bally's because they really hit it out of the park with their Sterling Brunch.
