Anyone been to Joe's Seafood lately?

Last year's stone crab harvest was historically low and I'm wondering if this year's is going to be better. Thanks.

 

I was there about 3 weeks ago... had the Chilean Sea Bass... loved it!! My associate had a steak, so no info to share on the stone crabs, sorry.

 

I visited in late September... The food was great as always and they still offered stone crab, just not the colossal size. Hope this helps!

 

Ah thats too bad how come the low stone crab #'s?

 

Spawning was severely damaged by the huge Gulf oil spill of a few years ago.

The season doesn't start until mid October. If they had them before that they were from Carolinas/Maryland not Florida

 

I went last month and again the harvest is woefully bad. All they had were Medium crab claws.
