I kind of hate to think of how many hours per day day I spend gambling in Vegas. Usually I start around 10:30 am and quit around 10:30 pm with breaks for lunch and dinner. We always go for over a week so an occasional night is for a show or two.

I can also subtract the time spent walking to various casinos, washrooms, and getting fresh air. I'm not much of a shopper anymore.

For me it likely averages out to nine hours per day.

Probably 5-6 hours/day on our last trip. With each trip the average/day increases.

We start pretty early....probably before 9am. Sometimes go & have breakfast but usually try to get pool time early. Back to the machines for more by noon and go all day. Eat dinner somewhere & go till midnight. May wander around looking for a good machine & actually play 9-10 hours a day. We go to gamble and unless we see a show....most of our time is spent on our addiction... :)

A little before breakfast, then a little more before lunch, then alot more during the afternoon, and then a ton until I can't keep my eyes open anymore, usually somewhere between midnight and 4am. We dont gamble when we have our morning outing around the valley and sometimes there's a show at night, and even more rare is an afternoon by the pool for a couple of hours, and of course when we eat (if you don't count a keno runner as gambling), and we don't gamble when we sleep (if you don't count the 50 games of keno I buy before I go up so I can fall asleep to the games on TV in the room).

I read the title of this thread and started thinking about how much I actually gamble. And I realized that I have no clue. I’m so oblivious to time in Vegas that I probably couldn’t estimate the number of hours/day I gamble with any sort of accuracy.

But, for some reason, I do remember how many points I put on my Red Card at Wynn last trip. So, if I backdoor that (and assume 600 VP hands/hour) I probably played 6 hours/day of VP at Wynn on that trip. Add in the blackjack and craps, as well as the gambling done at other casinos, and I figure I was in the 9-10 hours/day range.

Of course, it was a solo trip. I would imagine that on a trip with friends/family, I’d gamble much less. Maybe 6-7 hours/day or so.

Hm. We must be in the 10-12 hour/day range for the full days in Vegas (meaning we wake up there and go to sleep there). Get up around 8, coffee, probably start gambling around 9 or 10, float about, keep gambling, maybe some food around 4 or 6, gamble more, maybe a show (but not usually), wander around and gamble until at least midnight. Except for sleeping, walking, peeing and a bit of food, it's pretty much all gamble.

I would estimate my play at 10 to 12 hours per day.

    Here's my (normal) breakdown:

    Blackjack: 3 hours
    Craps: 2-3 hours
    Roulette: 1-2 hours
Video Poker: As long as it takes a hooker to make contact

I had to think hard on this... ok, not really! We gamble all day, taking breaks for meals and maybe a show if we have one planned. DH will take a nap in the afternoon but I stay down and gamble.

Rough guesstimate would be 12-15 hours a day  Glad to see we are all in good company!

I'm with ya. I don't see how people can afford to spend so much time gambling. I'll hit the craps table or slot machine for a a couple of hours to pass some time, but other than that, I'm always doing other stuff, believe it or not.

We go to Vegas to gamble, so it is usually 12-15 hrs per day, with a break for lunch & dinner, but sometimes only one meal. We didn't fly 4 hours to not gamble.

Yeah... I'm in Joe's camp... I'm usually up & out of the room by 6 AM... and back to the room around midnight... in those 18 hours, probably 12 to 15 of them are spent gambling.

30 minutes average. Longer feels like, and usually is, a chore.
