We are looking to purchase something with a family member but wanted to check on taxes. I know sales tax is high but does it follow suit for residents?

Figure about 1% on the home value for annual property taxes. You must also include HOA fees if applicable.

Yes. If you go into a store and buy a shirt you pay the same sales tax rate (state + county) as residents.

Sales tax in Clark County is 8.10%. We have the highest rate in the state. No tax for groceries, though. So, that's nice.
