Heading to downtown for a week in a couple of weeks. Do most of the shoe games that pay 3:2 allow DAS on Fremont Street? Thanks.:peace::beer:

Are the downtown BJ's better than the strip BJ's?

For sure Golden Gate and The D do. That's my game. I've read recent trip reports that suggest The Plaza and LVC have games with those same rules.

Boyd does not...not even on their shoe-games.
I think everyone else does for their shoes/CSMs.
Two-deck? Only Plaza, LVC & El Co have DAS..., oh and the high-limit 2-deck at 'theD' and Golden Gate.

A big plus at Boyd is lower limit 2-deck games paying 3:2. I'll be playing BJ at MSS this afternoon. Currently at Suncoast.

The only thing with the DD at MSS is that the penetration is 1 deck at best. That may be standard for all I know since I'm not a real counter.

Yep...all of the downtown Boyd casinos cut away about 50% of their 2-deck games... Gold Coast 'only' cut away about 40% during my last trip...~and~ they allow DAS!

The El Cortez still has the best low-limit 2-deck game downtown...perhaps in all of Vegas... 3:2, H17, DAS, with about 67% (2/3s?) penetration using a pre-set cut-notch in the discard tray.

BJs are easier downtown, but you're more likely to bring home an unwelcome bonus.

    Shoe VS Hand Dealt

Your odds are ever so slightly better on a one deck hand dealt even when no DAS is allowed.

I was surprised to see this but it's true according to the Wizard's blackjack house edge calculator.

There are a few two deck hand dealt that offer DAS and 3 to 2 Jack but they are hard to find.

I could tell you where they are but then I'd have to kill you.

I can say the high end games offer better rules if you're willing to step up.

If you truly want a good pitch Blackjack game make the trip to a "local casino" - all the Station properties, M, Southpoint, Silverton ect offer DAS w/ most also offering good penetration + comps are better and less heat for counters if done correctly.
