I recently got upgraded at TR from Gold to Platinum. Any ideas on what that will mean in a tangible sense? Better / More frequent room offers??

no resort fees and better lines at the buffet and checkins.

    Very little will change

Your offers have nothing to do with your tier rank. All offers are tied to your ADT. You will now be able to use some special check in and restaurant lines but other than that you will notice few to any differences.

    Correct.
Card color means nothing to the casino. It means more to you by way of line passes or discounts and such, but when it comes to offers and comps, that's based on play and ADT, not card color

The biggest thing is the waiving of the resort fees as they charge the fees even on comped rooms.

One little thing that I haven't seen mentioned here has to do with comped drinks in the casino. Twice this year (at Harrah's in Vegas and New Orleans), when ordering a "premium" drink (DiSaronno amaretto) I've been asked if I have a platinum or higher card. Otherwise, apparently you have to pay. I saw someone else "carded" in this way ordering Jagermeister.
