Couple of friends are planning on playing the Big O on 11th Nov, but I'm giving this a miss. $400 a bit too much for my roll.

I didn't know about this. I'm there that week so I might do the 7pm game on the 12th.

Any idea how early I need to go to register?

You don't NEED to register early. 7PM events you can still register as late as 9:15PM, so its OK if you are late. You can also buy in again if you are eliminated before 9PM. FYI you will need a Grazie card to register.

That's cool. I wanted to play the PLO but its tonight and this week's rates were out of control for SEMA so I'm going next week instead. I'm considering the O8 survivor but I may just stick to 8-16 O8 live while I'm there and not in a tourney.

Other than the WSOP in summer, this my favorite series, and usually runs a few times throughout the year. I've found a good mix of soft players in each game (way more than I see in WSOP events). I've cashed in a few of these tournaments - would like to try a main event next year.

    Venetian boycott

Sheldon Adelson has made it his mission to prevent online poker from being offered and regulated in the U.S. I may stop to use the restroom but I won't spend my money there. You, of course, are free to make your own decision.
