Never used my mlife card at a restaurant so not really sure how it works.
Can you to earn points/credits from giving them your card?

If I spend $200-$300 on dinner.. should I be showing them my card?
How do you present them with the card?
Afterall, I want mlife to know I'm spending money at the resort!
Does dining even matter? Or are they just concerned with gaming?

Just charge everything to your room, and ensure your mlife card is tied to your room reservation. You earn 25 tier points for each dollar spent.

I am honestly not sure how it works if you are not staying at an MGM/Mlife hotel - just ask the server.

So if I charge to room and my room is already tied into mlife (by booking through mlife or vip services) I would not need to present my mlife card to the restaurant server?

Nope. As long as it goes to your room and your mlife number is on the room you are set.

Putting on room account is best. Restaurant people could easily NOT link it right.

And, if you play enough, you might get the host to comp off that meal if not yet paid for and still on your room account.

In theory, you can give them your card at the end, when you get the bill, and they'll swipe it; the points are pretty substantial, I think 25 per $1, and though it won't get you anything in terms of comps, it's an easy way to move your tier up through money you'd be spending anyway. In practice, though, I've found that I get the points only about 50% of the time, either because the server just isn't swiping the card (possible but unlikely) or because the Mlife system is garbage (almost certain).

Yup, just charge everything back to the room, and you're good to go. Works like a charm.

I've been to several MLife properties the past 2 weeks and give them my card every time I dine or just get a drink. You still earn points that way.

if you are not staying at an mlife property,

you can just bring the receipt plus credit card you used to an Mlife desk and they will add it on for you.

It takes some time, but if you want the points it maybe worth it.

Here's a link to the Mlife rules for Tier Credit Adjustments (getting credit when you're not staying at an Mlife prop). Note: Adjustments are made for minimum of $50. Contrary to the "credit for every dollar spent" they say, if you spend $45, no credit for you! (unless you are staying at an Mlife prop) Got this from the Mlife desk at NYNY several months ago Mlife rules are known to change without notice or sense.
