Vegas Movies

Hello fellow Vegas lovers.
Priming for my trip, arriving on Nov 10th, and have decided that 7 Vegas themed movies in 7 nights is the perfect way to get geared up. Will be viewing in chronological order by setting (roughly). The list is;
1. Bugsy
2. Oceans Eleven (Rat Pack)
3. Viva Las Vegas
4. Casino
5. Honeymoon in Vegas
6. Vegas Vacation
7. Oceans 11 (remake)

Showgirls - yes, a horrible movie but I always seem to watch it when it is on...an accident you just can't turn away from.

The new oceans 11 and Casino with Sharon Stone are my favorites by far

 

A huge +1 on this.
I just re-watched this the other day, and while I'm no Alec Baldwin fan, he was really great in this one.
His assessment speech of Fremont vs. "the stroller crowd" on the Strip is a classic & a must-see.

BeeeJay is disqualified for the lack of ability to count to 7, I would hate to see the chaos he could cause at the BJ table :evillaugh
Very Bad Things and Leaving LV are two of my favs, however not what I want to watch immediately before a trip. Instead of checking for bed bugs, I'd be frantically checking for the locations of towel hooks etc.

The Rat Race is hilarious!!

 

Not vegas related, but I am a sucker for Honk Kong gambling movies too, especially the God of Gamblers and The Conman series.

 

I know but I seem to be in a minority when it comes to this one.

St John of Las Vegas with Steve Buscemi, not a brilliant movie by any means but defo has that vegas gambling vibe

 

That's the first movie ever mentioned on this site that I have not heard of. Now I'm intrigued

 

Just a random ad, and not entirely focused on Vegas, but has anyone seen the documentary Holy Rollers? It's about an all-Christian blackjack team. Absolutely fascinating.

 

This thread is popping up a few movies / docs etc. that I have to make a point of watching.

 

Yes. Certainly not a favorite since it is kind of a downer but def. worth watching at least once.
