Wow – that's a real toughie! I have LOTS of good Vegas memories extending over 28 plus years of going there. Off hand, my favorite memory is probably when I met my blind date from Winnipeg at baggage claim after midnight! That was over 10 years ago, but definitely worth remembering.

The time I met sco5123... sorry, that was in my dreams... not really in Vegas?

Actually, it was when I hit 4 aces w/kicker on $1.00 DDB at MSS Boars Head Bar a few years ago. It inspired me to write my first trip report! Have had a couple of royals since... but I still prefer the 4 aces w/kicker... sentimental and stupid... but that's the way I am? :confused2:

First time there. I was in the navy at the time and a buddy and me made the trip via greyhound from Long Beach, CA. 36 hours or so later I left town with 2 pennies and 3 cigarettes, along with my bus ticket. I've had a lot of very great and memorable times in Las Vegas, but as the saying goes......You'll always remember your first.:peace::beer:

Wow, what a question! So much comes to mind, trying to qualify a "best moment" is so difficult! Like many others have stated the first time is so magical, the newness, the shock value, the slightly uneasy feeling a new place gives you, it is all still so fresh in my mind.

I guess I will have to think about this one over some coffee!

I don't think I have a most memorable trip.. but I definitely come home with memories from each trip which makes that trip unforgettable :)

My first trip I was so drunk I couldn't remember which floor the room was on but I did remember my room number! Only took me 11 floors to find the right room. :evillaugh Sorry if you were one of the persons thinking someone was trying to get in your room that night!

Saw Don Rickles, EFX, Riverdance .... am I showing my age?? That was many moons ago.

Meeting up with friends I've met online and gambling/exploring Vegas together.

    Jackpots are always memorable.

The Tough Mudder! My first New Years in Vegas... the list could go on! I can't choose, they were all great memorable trips!

Sitting on patio at Olives with both kids (and spouses) watching their eyes as the fountains lit up, with wine glasses in hand and awesome dinner.

In 1996 I was there for work. We were staying at the Monte Carlo and it was brand new, open for just a few months. I was "the bottom of the food chain" in the group I was the traveling with - the grunt. It was an entry level job with entry level pay. I was walking through the casino with $13 in my pocket (I think I had less than $100 in my checking account) and, on a whim, stopped at dollar slot and dropped my $13 bankroll in. I played dollars 1-12 and hit nothing. Spun my last dollar and BOOM! 150 bucks!! I was fired up like that $150 was $150K. I have had bigger wins since but that one is definitely my favorite.

    How about a top 3:
    1. First time I went to LV with my wife, staying with her @ Venetian when she was attending a trade show there, around 2003. We were both wowed by Venetian, which was definitely a step up above our previous LV hotel experiences.

    2. My entire trip in 2011 attending VMWorld. It was probably the best "work hard/play hard" week of my life (so far). It was capped off with playing in Aria's nightly poker tournament with about 75+ total entrants, and making the final table. Even though I busted out before getting into the money, it was an awesomely fun night.

    3. Dinner with my parents @ Wolfgang Puck's Postrio at Venetian, earlier this year. Our final night in LV celebrating their 65th birthdays.

I'd have to say going on a run at Bellagio from $3,000 trip budget to returning home with $42,000. Before that I hadn't even paid attention to comps/players cards, etc. and mostly just stayed at Circus Circus with 5 guys in a room and gambled at Slots-A-Fun and Riviera.

I wasn't even aware of the luxurious Vegas that was out there.

That one hot streak led to endless comp offers, a decent Vegas bankroll, and 38 trips in the past 5 1/2 years.

It has been an INSANE ride!

First trip to Vegas...1990, staying at the Hotel San Remo.

There were 4 couples in our group and we all went up to the Mirage one night for dinner at the Chinese restaurant. We walked in the front door and smelled that smell and looked around at the tropical paradise created in the middle of the desert and looked at each other and said "we will be coming back and we'll be staying here next trip".

That started a 10+ year love affair w/ the Mirage and of course Las Vegas.

My 2nd trip to Vegas after an 18 year absence. The trip was awesome!
That's when I became hooked! I ended up going 4X in a row that year.

My favorite vegas memory was several several years ago.
Never had been to vegas ever before in my life and ended up going with an acquaintance who was quite up there on the casinos list.
We stayed for 4 nights in the villas at the Mirage.

Let me just tell you, I had no idea what I was about to witness or experience.

Arrived in Vegas to the Limo driver from The Mirage who greeted us and picked up all our bags for us. Put us in their stretch limo and drove us to the mirage. We went in the back entrance where once we pulled in through the gates, my friends host and an assistant was waiting for us. They walked us down the hallway where all the villas and Lanai's are at the mirage then put us in our villa. Introduced the butler who was on call for us 24/7, and showed us around the bedrooms, the living rooms, the private pool in the back of the villa, private putting course etc then let us be. I was blown away..This was without a doubt first class and beyond treatment. Whatever we wanted was ours.

We got there Thursday night then the next day decided we wanted to go see O at the bellagio. Talked to the host and within a few minutes we had tickets to the best seats in the house for the show.

If we wanted carnegie deli or whatever brought back to our room, all we had to do was request it, and 20 minutes later we had it.

I remember we ordered some eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, coffe etc for breakfast in the morning and before you knew it we had an entire plate of each one of those in our villa. Then I watched my friend gamble at a craps table and understood why we had anything and everything we wanted. $10K-$25k bets then odds on top of that, plus more $5k-$10k bets on the numbers plus odds behind those..the amount of money on that table was insane. I'd say at anyone time, there would be $50k - $150k on that table in bets.

Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, and my level of play sure doesn't qualify for that level of treatment, but for that being my first trip ever to vegas, it was quite the trip. It was just crazy in my mind that I could go spend $300 for dinner just on me and charge it to the room and then it would be taken care.
